DISGUSTING ATTITUDE AND POUR COSTUMER SERVICE FROM “manager” DARRELL EVANS!!! HE HAS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! CAN NOT EXPRESS ENOUGH WITH WORDS HOW ANGRY WE ARE RIGHT NOW AND HOW DISRESPECTFUL THIS PERSON TREATED US!!!
Came to ski ( from Miami Feb 24th to 28th ) in Canons and Park City, but due to the incredible amount of people ( pictures/videos attached), we couldn't do much. We arrived early ( Saturday the 25th ) and started the line for the gondola at 8:30 a.m., and after almost 3 hours in line, we were able to get in the gondola to start the day around noon! Almost four hours in the morning were wasted making a line and using a gondola just to encounter hundreds of people making more lines for chairlifts.
We paid ($250 plus tax per day, almost $270 ) for a full day of skiing and we only got maybe 2 hours of skiing. Some chairlifts close at 3:30 p.m. as well. We are coming from out of state and we are on vacation for only three days of skiing.
When we arrived at the ticket window and explained our concern to this employee, (”manager”) the lack of arrogance and audacity was beyond insolence. He did not care about anything we were saying. He was not willing to help us in any way and was making fun of us.
Here we are on our last day of skiing and wanted to ski for half a day and the price for a half-day ticket is almost $230!!!! The full price is $250, ridiculous! After the explanation that was provided to this employee, he refused to assist us in any way. When I asked if I could take a picture of his name tag, he offered to pose with a thump up and a big smile! That was when we lost it! I don’t think I can describe the frustration!!! I don’t understand why this company has this kind of employee working for them. Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional!!! We could have paid for half a day, but his attitude ruined the whole experience and we decided just to leave. This place is not worth it!!! Not coming back again to be treated this way!
Darrel Evans’s supervisor was not helping either. After we left for a few minutes, we needed to speak to Darrel’s supervisor, but he seemed not to care either!
WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS...
Read moreFriday, March 1, 2024 was my first experience at Park City Mountain Resort. It is also my last. I don't know what kind of business you are operating here but it was a scam from the moment I arrived. I paid $200 dollars for this scam of yours and I am not happy about it.
There were hundreds of skiers and no employees to provide any kind of welcome or guidance. I finally found the information desk and when I asked questions about where to ski I was told to look at the big map on the wall and follow the signs.
With Crescent Express closed all the skiers were in line to ride Payday Express. . This meant that everyone waited 1 1/2 hours to ride Payday Express. There was no one to provide crowd control or guidance so there was much pushing and shoving to get through the extremely long line to the chair lift. Putting up signposts that tell you to merge is just not adequate. You really need someone there to provide crowd control and monitoring of the situation. Even the chair operators were overwhelmed and unable to help very much.
Safety also was an issue. In all my years of skiing I have never seen so many skiers on a mountain. With so many skiers going way too fast and not skiing in control, I saw quite a few collisions. To me, it looked like a free-for-all.
This week I skied at Solitude, Alta, Deer Valley, Brighton, and Snowbasin. Park City was supposed to be my highlight.(or so I was told). I only have disappointment and complaints about your resort, your lack of safety, your rude employees, your scarcity of employees to provide help, and your inability to inform skiers of what lifts are open or what issues are occuring on the day they ski.
Shame on Park City Mountain Resort for charging so much for such a shabby resort and experience. I talked to a couple of locals and they had never seen such a mess either and left. You will never see me here ever again either. How can you be so arrogant...
Read moreReading 1 star reviews about this place is hilarious. I've been skiing at Park City now for 5 or so years, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The locals 18 and under pass is one of the best deals around if you know where to find it, the staff is awesome, and there is more terrain than you can possibly ski in 3 weekends.
To all the Floridans, Texans, and East Coasters complaining about the rude staff or overpriced tickets, how difficult blue runs are, or how crowded the resort is... I would only say that if you have a clue as to what your doing and where to go, this is my favorite resort I've skied. If yall want to stay home and clear the slopes and lower the prices for me, I'm all the happier! Any local who has skied here knows that on any given day, you can always find a quiet spot away from the crowds. It's only the tourists who yell about overpriced tickets and don't actually find out what the pass their buying does that have issue with the staff.
Stay informed and don't act like a tourist, treat the staff with respect and you'll have a great time. Or, and even better, go skiing in the East or heck go to California and leave us our own ski resorts to complain about! Its the people that yell and belittle the employees that ruin the experience for themselves and everyone else. Just chill
I've skied this entire resort. I've had crummy and overcrowded groomer days, and I've had days where I've lapped runs in waist-deep powder and skied right onto the lift. You can't go once to judge this place, and I'd say over the last 5 years skiing all across Utah, that this is the best resort around and I plan to stay skiing here for the rest of my life. Good food, good people, unreal runs if you know where to look, and guaranteed power day after day (after the base builds up) if you are willing to hike on occasion. All this to say, go...
