Eagle Beach Resort — Hotel in Park Rapids

I will never stay at this "resort" again, they scam good people into paying double the amount they thought they would. My family and I booked a cabin at Eagle Beach and it was only supposed to be 175$ a night for 3 nights as we were told on the phone when we booked the cabin and were told the cabin slept up to 6 people. There were 5 of us staying there. The night before we were supposed to leave my mom went to pay for the cabin and the owner charged my mom 800$ for 3 nights which was over double the original amount. The owner told her that since there were 5 people staying there it cost more, which she neglected to tell my mom over the phone. The owner would not budge when my mom tried to negotiate with her and my mom ended up having to pay the 800$. My mom returned to our cabin, where my family and I were sitting on the porch, and she told us the news. Naturally we were all shocked and upset. All we wanted in that moment was peace and quiet, then all of a sudden, a group of kids came screaming and running around our cabin playing some sort of night game. We asked them to leave because we didn't want to be bothered, but they refused. We yelled at them to get away from our cabin and they finally left us alone. Then a staff member came and told us that the other guests were complaining that we yelled at their kids. The staff member offered us 400$ off our bill to leave right then. Where are 5 people supposed to find a place to stay at 7pm? Not only did the owner stab us in the back financially, but they insulted my family by bribing us with money, and they never gave us an apology for any of it. I hope this review will serve as a warning to anyone wanting to stay at this sad excuse...

I recently had the pleasure of spending a week at Eagle Beach resort in Park Rapids, Minnesota. I have been going to this resort for quite a few years. Matt, Sarah, Travis and the rest of the Coumbe family continue to make our family’s time up there one of the highlights of my year. The family resorts in the northern part of Minnesota continue to become a thing of the past. After spending an incredible week at Eagle Beach, it appears to me people are really missing out on a great chance to have some of the best family time you can have. The Park Rapids area has so many fun things to do it can be easy to find yourself having trouble making a decision on what to do. For me, I am able to find everything I need at Eagle Beach. Between fishing, boating, tennis, pickle ball and the Character challenge park, I find more than enough to do. When our daughter was younger she always had so much fun with all the other kids and all the scheduled activities for kids. The cabins are always very clean and equipped with everything you need. The resort is kept like a country club. The owner Matt is always striving for ways to improve the resort and make sure the customers are satisfied. He is extremely friendly, always ready to talk and will make sure you have everything you need.My family’s time at Eagle beach resort is something we intend and hope to continue to do for...

My family just returned from two weeks at this resort and after 33 consecutive years we still marvel at the beauty and family friendly atmosphere.
