Timberlane Lodge and Resort — Hotel in Park Rapids

This was my family's first trip to Timberlane Lodge. We were quite disappointed as the days went on: 1). Bath towels were provided however, they were the cheapest towels we have ever used. They were not absorbent and they left fuzzy stuff all over our bodies. 2). There were 10 of us in the Villa we stayed in and there was not enough pots and pans to sufficiently make meals for all of us at once. Only 1 large fry pan and 1 9x13 baking dish. We had to go purchase tin foil pans to make our meals. 3). The stove and oven must have been from the early 2000's. Only 2 of the burners worked sufficiently and one was tilted and we could not straighten it out. It made it very difficult to cook. 4). One of the shelves on the inside door of the refrigerator was missing the piece that holds everything on the shelf. We had to use masking tape as a brace to keep everything on the shelf. 5). Most of the blinds on the bedroom windows did not close properly. We had to put blankets and dark garbage bags over the windows to keep the sun out. 6). The outside pool was wonderful however, there were not any lounge chairs to lay on. There were just plastic Adirondack chairs.

All in all, our family was disappointed that the cabin was so outdated and limited on cookware and dishes. We will not be going back...

We have visited Timberlane with large family groups 3 times over the last 6 years, and we're looking at going again next year. ||||Our family group is large and has diverse interests. The lake offers great fishing, the kids love the sand and the swing set, and some family members just chat on the porches or on the well-kept beach. I spend time canoeing, going for long walks with my husband, and kayaking. My son seeks out beautiful wildlife to photograph. Grandma goes to town to get craft supplies and groceries, and loves to cook in the big condo unit, then have everyone converge there.||||There are fun places to visit within easy driving distance for those who are less focused on fishing, wildlife, and water sports. The larger condos also have plenty of space to get people together for games and cards.||||Some of the facilities, like the pool, are showing wear, but the condos seem like new.||||The owners have been consistently kind and helpful. They have always been responsive when we had a request. They were even patient with a few of us that tried golfing for...

We enjoyed this resort. Recommend staying at least a week. Will return. Reasonable prices. Our family stayed in a condo. Nice size with 3 floors, 4bed, 3bath. Enjoyed the view of lake and beach from master bed balcony and the walk out patio. Sunsets on lake are amazing. Furniture is ok. Kids loved the playground, beach, pool and lake slide. Enjoyed fishing off the docks, kayak, driving range, putting green, grilling on the patio, beach fire pits. Owners are nice and very accommodating. Helped us with a pontoon to rent to explore the beautiful lake. Good location for a nice vacation. Plenty to do if you want. Easy drive into town. Super Walmart groceries, downtown candy stores and can park in the middle of the street? Nice drive out to Itasca State park (wilderness drive, headwaters, fire tower, boat tour, hiking, picnic).
