It's the word "resort" in the name that gave me the wrong idea. I stayed here because I'd driven past it before, saw it was right on the lake, noticed the marina... it looked inviting. I didn't come here to check reviews. Silly me. Even if I had, the hints are there but I might have missed it. LIKE NO PHONE SIGNAL NO WIFI. The cabins do look cozy, no idea what they cost. Lots of people were there and they seemed to be having fun. They aren't jumping on here to write reviews though, are they? || There was lots of early morning fishing going on. People packing up stuff for a day out on a rented pontoon boat (no one mentioned that opportunity to me.) As an RV camping resort it really doesn't hit any high notes. For one thing, no mobile signal and no wifi. NO MOBILE SIGNAL AND NO WIFI. When I asked about it, they argued (peacefully enough, but it was arguing) with me. "Just keep trying," they said. "Try turning your phone off... " when I did that in the office and did get a signal, they admitted, "Well, it only works in the office." I wouldn't ever really want to come hang out in the office area to make calls or send emails. Especially not in the time of covid, but any time. I want to hang out at my camper with my dogs. Speaking of Covid, no one working there wore a mask... hardly any of the guests did either. No sanitizer, no precautions taken at all. So I tried to stay away from everyone. The only lake access is the launch ramp and one tiny little section of "beach," seriously about 5' across. There is no dog park - lots of lovely grassy areas that would have made a great one, but they were all marked as "dog-free zones." The RV sites were absolutely plain, and big chunky rocks for ground. Not a tree in sight. I had to come in later and they left my spot number taped to the door. No map. Turns out the bathroom requires a key. No key either. I've camped at a lot of RV parks and I know the drill. Usually it's a packet with everything you need. A map sure helps when you are tired from a long drive, it's dark... and the site number cannot be seen without stopping to get out and look closely. I stayed two nights, but then left early - not even trying to get a refund for the 3rd night. I knew they would not give it. But seriously, not only could I not sit inside and do any work or leisure activity in the air conditioning after a long day hiking or sightseeing, but there was no flat spot, no space, no shade ... no romance if you will, at my site to hang out outdoors. No place to find my own spot at the water, either. And whoever wrote the review about "lots of trails?" I asked and the kid said "Oh there's a footpath all the way around the lake. I can guarantee you there is not. I asked him, specifically, any trails to take the dogs out? "Oh, there's some dirt roads." Seriously just not a great experience for me. Now I'm not saying it was awful.... the people working there were nice enough, after they insulted people from Las Vegas, but they just didn't have anything real to offer ... no information on check-in, no information about trails, no good answer about the wifi. Seriously they didn't even talk to me about what was on offer at the campground. Like "Hey, want to rent a pontoon boat?" (I might have.) They had horses tied up along the fence for hours... kind of broke my heart. But they looked well enough cared for. They didn't tell me anything about it, though. Not that I want to be ?sold to" a lot, but when you show up at a RESORT, usually you get a little pitch about what's available. I'm not often negative in these reviews. Not terribly picky, but honestly put the word RESORT in there and charge me $50/night on week night? Well, I expect more. There are loads of beautiful campgrounds and unbelievable dispersed camping in the area. If you're not going to have a signal anyway, may as well have a nicer...

I’m driving the mountain roads through Bryce Canyon heading up to Panquitch Lake Resort to that lake view little Park Model Cabin that was rented for 2 nights. 1 day pontoon rental yep excitements building! Went to turn on the road to resort all I saw at the turn were these poor horses, locked up in little tiny corals, ribs showing on some, no shade cover! Horses for rent the sign said! Shame on these people! You’ll see why if you go, I’ll be writing a review on them next and calling human society too after this! Disgusting ||Arrived, the young men that work there (get a rating of 10 plus)||Got the key headed to rental cabin, walked in loved the floor, the tongue and groove interior walls then… my eyes caught the broken futon! No way we’re we going to be able to sit comfortably when the futon doesn’t sit up! Looking closer dirty! Thank Gosh for Lysol!!! Read moreOur family recently stayed at Panguitch Lake Resort for our first time and were very pleasantly surprised! Panguitch Lake Resort is a hidden gem in a beautiful, peaceful setting of pine trees and a gorgeous lake! The accommodations were exceptional. Our cute, spotless cabin had a screened deck, a full fridge and fully stocked kitchen with all the cooking utensils and pans you could need, lots of storage space, and ours could have easily slept several grandkids or another couple with the loft, bedroom, and queen fold out couch, all very comfy. They even have washers and dryers! Our cabin had TV. My daughter’s was set up for DVDs with a good supply. Ours had some games as well. Our Son’s family stayed in the RV area that was also spotless and in close proximity to the cabins for easy visiting. There’s a great restaurant on site; we had a lovely dinner (my steak was perfection) and had fun trying several of their great desserts! There’s a little store with fishing supplies, ice cream, snacks, and hats, shirts, etc. with the really cute Panguitch Lake Logo. There’s so much to do, with a playground and fire pit, beautiful walks and hikes, fishing from shore, fishing boats and beautiful luxury pontoon boats that fit our whole group. Several grandkids were exited to catch their first fish; beautiful large, 16-17 inch rainbow trout! Panguitch Lake Resort has some of the best fishing in the State. There’s also a riding stable, and a Burger Barn with great ice cream and a Country store close enough to walk or 4-wheel to. *There was WIFI at the office, and I know they are in the process of getting WIFI; but it was nice to be semi-unplugged and have a real break with our family. Mike was a super Host, and very helpful with all of our needs, even helping us when we had a glitch with our boat motor! Panguitch Lake Resort had a safe, warm family feeling. The consensus was our family can hardly wait to go again; definitely a lot of fun memories were made! We’ll have to try them in the winter- I understand they have ice fishing (they even drill your hole and provide ice fishing tents!) I can only imagine how beautiful that setting would be with snow on the trees and ice on the lake! We give our new favorite place...
