Very nice new place and meets expectations for the middle of the road type hotel. No bath tub, and showerhead pressure was quite low. The pool room, indoors, was unbearably warm if you don't get in the water. So if you're thinking to go sit while the kids swim, you may want to think again and get in! The water is pleasant and then you don't feel cold at all upon exiting the water because the air is so warm in there. I didn't feel a desire to get in the hot tub this time so I can't comment on it. Otherwise there are reclined chairs and some cushioned seats around the pool. It doesn't open before 10 am, so plan accordingly. The rooms have all you'd expect: mini fridge, closets and drawers, side table and lamp, abundant pillows and clean, fluffy covers, the hair dryer, soap + lotion, etc. I do wish the curtains could have blacked out more light. There was an interesting shift in outside brightness every half a minute or so as we went to bed, maybe from the gas station? Nice absorbent towels in rooms and swimming area. I liked that the rooms had plank floors and not carpet. My kids fell victim to the carpet in the hall multiple times, tripping themselves up somehow. A gym area on second floor above pool and a nearby open sitting area above the lobby, a great continental breakfast, plenty of parking, vending and convenience foods at the lobby, cool art and photography all around. I think I might've spotted a computer room behind the front desk, but not sure if it's for guest use. Housekeeping was professional and courteous. Only complaint was that my breakfast came with a side of POTUS on the TV 😝 lovely place to...
Read moreFive days Three weeks ago I reserved five days up on Brianhead at the resort. The day before coming up I called one last time to double check my room and they had given away my wheelchair room which I had requested and paid four weeks before. They switched my rooms and I still drove up there when I arrived I had no room they had given away my second room. Forced to leave the mountain because there was zero availability we ran into the valor hotel. It is by far the nicest hotel in the area. They let me stay two hours past check out for free because of an issue that arose while checking out which had nothing to do with them. The staff is extremely amazing breakfast was as expected very good, and everything was beyond clean. By the end of my stay I was glad we didn’t stay on the mountain it was 10° warmer and this hotel treated us like we deserved. With two kids ready for their first sledding trip I couldn’t just turn around and go home this place save our trip. I will never stay anywhere else when going to the area, I almost feel as if I owe them for how good they were to us. 10 out of 10 will definitely stay again.
They are a brand new hotel and are completely open to criticism as well as accepting any issue that arises. Give this place a chance you...
Read moreI loved almost everything about your hotel, except for the fitness center. Your gym was below standard for any hotel. You could easily improve it with little effort and money. The elliptical and stationary bikes were good, but neither treadmill was working. You had some adjustable dumbbells that would be great for one individual in their home, but not at a hotel. You could easily replace the dumbbells with some standard dumbbells and a bench. An all in one cable machine (in a corner so it wouldn’t take much space) would finish off the fitness center so that anyone could find what they needed in a gym away from home. Sweat towels and sanitary wipes to wipe down machines after use should be added because they are essential to the cleanliness of the gym and people’s health. In a world where health, fitness, and wellness are becoming more and more popular, it would be worth the effort and money to invest in an upgrade of your fitness center. Besides the gym, the staff were among the friendliest staff I have ever met in a hotel. The pool and hot tub were great and the...
