Yes, too much information, but you can skip reading it and get straight to the review (see the last two paragraphs).

We took a flight to California because my dad had passed away suddenly and I was his only child. So, we packed up his truck and a rented U-Haul trailer, then started our long drive back home to Maryland, about 2,800 miles. After stopping to eat in Memphis Tennessee, we decided to stop at a halfway point before Nashville, which put us in Jackson.

Whenever we travel, we like to save money...especially for this expensive and unplanned trip...,,so, we don’t look for the “5 star” or “ritzy” type of hotels...just want a clean, basic room at a reasonable price. We stopped at two different hotels in Jackson, with similar pricing and let’s just say that both, would’ve required hazmat suits, had we decided to stay in either of them.😧🤢

So, we gave up and hightailed it out of Jackson, frustrated and exhausted. Looked up reviews (mostly positive reviews) on a Days Inn by Wyndham, located at: 13845 Hwy 641 North, Holladay, TN and decided that we would give it a try. Now, getting to the point of this review.....we did a quick “flashlight and black light investigation” of the room (# 112) and we were very impressed!!

We checked in around 1:45 AM, EST on Thursday, November 12th, 2020 and were told that we could sleep in, with a late checkout time and we would not be disturbed, nor charged a fee for the time extension/late checkout. They were true to their word, we slept comfortably and peacefully, at no extra charge, for our 1:30 PM checkout time (we weren’t given a time for checkout and could’ve stayed to recoup on some rest/relaxation, but had to get back on the road again).

All in all, we give this hotel 5 out of 5 stars and definitely recommend staying here!! The owner and his staff are so pleasant, the price was comparable to the other hotels (within a 30 mile radius...maybe more), IT WAS VERY CLEAN (both inside and outside the hotel....you could tell that they took pride in their business), the beds were so comfortable (wish that we could’ve taken them home with us)😁, it was quiet and peaceful, the renovations were beautiful.....and for anyone thinking that it was only clean because it was recently renovated, I’m capable of telling the difference and without a doubt, it was properly cleaned between guests.

Anyway, we enjoyed our stay and just a few words of advice, don’t waste your time, money or your health and well-being, trying to find a decent hotel room in Jackson...unless you’re a ritzy, 5 star luxury hotel type, then I don’t have any advice or ratings to give.😏 A big thank you, to those who post ratings/reviews and happy...

This may be a long review...skip to paragraph 4 and 5 for the good stuff regarding the room and stay.

We are Gold almost Platinum Wyndham Rewards members. I say that to show how often we stay in hotels. In this roadtrip, we finally finished the 48 continental United States.

We choose where to stay on a daily basis by searching for Wyndham hotels in Google Map App on the route of our Roadtrip. We read the reviews in the Google Map App and compare it to the Trip Advisry reviews found in the Wyndham App.

When we found this Days Inn with raving reviews, I told my family we should check it out. It was $10 more than another one I found closer to Nashville (non Wyndham) but that this one sounded to be really good because of all the positive feedback.

As soon as we walked into the lobby we new it'd be a good hotel. It smelt and looked clean. The breakfast includes the regulars plus healthier but delicious cereal, real orange and apple juice, the toppings for the oatmeal, & mini breakfast sliders (mini buns with sausage patties). There was Bananas, apples, & yogurt also.

The hotel had wide hallways (if you have 2 girls...PLEASE take a scary photo or video there...my sister did not want to do it with me...) The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable. There was a safe in the closet and the fridge had a freezer portion. The bathroom was tight and the front door was awkward to open if someone was using the sink. But all in all the stay was definitely a 5 star rating!

The evening lady who helped me check in was so sweet. I called from 45 mins away to ensure there was occupancy, and she held a room for me upstairs and away from noise whitchout needing to leave anything more than my name. The manager-owner helped me check out. He and his family are very warm and welcoming. Very friendly people!

I 100% recommend this place if you are in the area. (Just make sure you stop to eat something before...I didn't notice any food near by except the Shell Gas...

There are parts that were great and not so great. Room was okay. (It was a little warm although there was a fan on and ac was on 66) Beds were comfortable. Front office staff was very nice!!!. Pet fee is $15. Here's where the not so great part comes in to play. When scheduling the reservation, I asked about breakfast. (Because we are a family, that plays a big part in where we stay) We were told there would be a breakfast with eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, juice, coffee, milk, cereal. If that were the case, that is a great deal for the price, especially for a family of 4 when you checked in at 10:30 and out by 7. We were planning on fueling up before we left, only to find that breakfast was mediocre pre-packed mini coffee cakes and some watered down coffee. No eggs, no pancakes, no oatmeal, no juice, etc. We ended up spending more money on breakfast once we were on the road. Please let your rewards members know that there is a VERY minimal breakfast or at least make adjustments to your rooms fees to accommodate the inconvenience of not having one instead of...

We traveled across the country from San Diego, CA to WI ( family anniversary party) to VA Beach (cribbage Tournament) to Virginia (partner family) then to Cooperstown, Washington DC, and now heading home. THIS hotel was by far the BEST in comfort for sleeping (mattress) pillows and cleanliness. The other GREAT positive was this hotel final has pictures on the walls depicting the surrounding area youre in. We stayed in NM with Beach pictures. The room was clean and the ONLY reason I'm taking some stars away was the location is right next to a truck stop and they park in their overflow parking lot and you can hear them all night long. The other minus star was there really is NO BREAKFAST. You can get coffee and a banana (a Danish in a saranrand wrap) but that's fine. (Just dont advertised "Free Breakfast " the last negative. Their flooring is a laminated look wood and it was buckling up all over the room. But again, if you want a convenient hotel off the 40 and very clean, this will do it for you!

Driving from Texas to Ohio and did not want to pay for expensive hotels in Nashville, TN when we came across this little gem. We checked in around 4pm on a Friday and the very nice woman at the front desk, saw me help my elderly dad (who uses a cane) into the lobby. We wanted adjoining rooms and had a cat with us, which they only charged us an additional $15. The room for my parents was handicap accessible (I didn't know those existed) and I really appreciated that she did that without asking. The rooms are so nice and clean, beds were so soft and comfortable and the linens smelled fresh with no stains on them and the handicap bathroom was very big and roomy. I've traveled alot and this has to be the nicest Days Inn that I've ever stayed at.
