This is a business that supports Truck Parking Club (TPC) by allowing them to come in and create paid parking for truckers. Normally, I wouldn't have a problem with this. If a land or property owner has some extra space and wants to make some extra $, then I think this is a good idea. Truck Parking Club, however, is moving into ordinary roadside truckstops that used to be free, and talking mgmt/owners into charging truck drivers to pay for parking. Truckers do not get reimbursed by their companies for paying for parking. All this does is lower the overall income of truck drivers nationwide.
If it gets to a point that truckers have difficulty finding free parking, they're either going to quit or demand that their companies reimburse them. The long-run effects of this: If companies have to reimburse for paid parking or pay higher wages to truckers to keep them (paying for parking lowers their overall income) they will pass that cost on to the distributors they haul for, who will in turn pass that expense on to the consumers, that includes you. This TPC spreading their paid parking regime thru the trucking industry like a cancer is yet another detriment to our economy. You will end up paying more for your food, shampoo, etc. Because if we have to start paying for parking, we will quit or demand more $. I promise you that.
I'm writing these reviews everywhere to educate and encourage people not to support any business that endorses Truck Parking Club. Until TPC gets out of our roadside truckstops, we need to NOT support ANY property owner that endorses TPC. We truckers need to unite together and boycott businesses and especially truckstops that charge for parking thru the TPC. It works. A large casino in southwest CO (Ute Mtn Travel Plaza) with two large lots started charging last fall, and that place turned into a ghost town. Their online reviews plummeted. The casino recently retracted their paid parking policy, and truckers are returning to the casino, even encouraging others online to support this business again. Millers Travel Center in Wellington, UT, same thing. The employees are now telling us truckers that the signs are "old" and all parking is now free. They lost too much business. This is proof that truckers sticking together and not supporting businesses that endorse TPC works. Please join me in boycotting any biz that supports TPC and especially don't park in any truckstop that has TPC signs. Trip plan in advance so that you know where they are and can avoid them.
If I'm planning a camping trip, I wouldn't consider this campground until they manage their own truck parking and stop...
Read moreWe stayed at the Jim Moss Arena campground for the very first time with our horses and living quarters, and from the moment we arrived we felt right at home. We were welcomed immediately by such a super friendly, down-to-earth family. Paulette goes above and beyond in every possible way—her kindness and hospitality truly make you feel like part of the family from the very start.
And of course, we can’t forget Grizz, their sweet family dog, who added his own special charm to our stay. 🐾
Sadly, we have to head home tomorrow and leave behind the beauty and peace of this wonderful place and scenery. But we feel so lucky that we’ll be back at least twice a year, since our daughter chose Riverton for her college education. A piece of our hearts will definitely stay here...
Read moreWhat a great place which is mostly undiscovered. We had to really dig to find out about this place but it was well worth it. We have to say the Moss Family very friendly and service oriented. We arrived early evening and just ahead of some major weather moving in. They made sure we had a good place where the heavy winds and rain would be less of an impact. Full facilities here and plenty of hot water. It is a working ranch so we expected there be some mud and walking to the bathhouses. All in all a great experience as one does not often these days get to stay on a working ranch that does not act like a resort. Thanks Moss family. We visited...
