Going to Oak Cove is like stepping back to the 1950's Michigan lake cottages. My wife and I had a family reunion at Oak Cove over the week of July 4th. We had a total of 18 including my sister in law and her family. We wanted some place where our 7 grand kids could play together ( independently and away from their iPads and computer games) Mission Accomplished!
They have lots of boats, kayaks, and a paddle board. Fishing is off the dock or by boat. ( we caught a lot of small sunfish, that were a treat for our grandkids who had never fished before.) Word has it they have some big bass in the lake.
Every morning after breakfast the kids were down at the lake or the pool, playing on the swings in front of the lodge or out on a kayak. Their parents did not have to spend time trying to entertain them they did it themselves.
The cottages or houses are really like 1950s , comfortable but not luxurious the real appeal is not the accommodations, Its the lake and all the activities that bring a family together. Bob and Susan have a very well trained staff of local high school kids that like the owners are committed to the guests. They have great attitudes and great service.
Bob has the most amazing memory, he knows every guest by name from the grandpa to the youngest kids.
The meals are basic but very good with big breakfasts and dinners each night. Everything is home made including the fresh local strawberries ( the ones that are red all the way through) breads and home made pies and deserts. It may not be for everyone but if you have a family that wants to get together and have a great time and build those long term memories. This is the place. I highly...

It's a prime cut of meat that is the best beef you can get. For breakfast, omelettes better than you can imagine. Ham, mushroom and double cheese is my favorite.
I could talk about the food for ages but the location is perfect. Located right on Lake Cora, a super clean lake that is great for swimming. Some of the cabins are 30 feet from the water! Free use of all sorts of boats and toys for the water, you can even bring your own if you want.
The atmosphere of the grounds is relaxing and comfortable. Places to sit everywhere. Cornhole, shuffle board, volley ball and all sorts of games to do with your family. This place is all about having fun with the people you love the most.
The owners Bob and Susan are there for the guests and greet everyone with a smile. They have poured their hearts into this place and they would love to share it with you! They're know to be incredibly accommodating for...

I've been lucky enough to experience Oak Cove Resort as a child (I was 6 when I first came), as a young adult in college, and now as a mother watching my own kids play, swim and enjoy their time here. My heart is full knowing they got to experience the Oak Cove Resort that I...
