Don & Karen (Troy & Kim) could not have been more accommodating. My truck died the second i rolled into my campsite---They let me use their office phone several times as cell service is a no-go. Don (who must have had experience as a mechanic) offered to come down to my site and take a look at my truck. He spent a good 1/2 hour trying to get it started, even crawling under it and banging on the starter. To top it off they were kind enough to run messages down to me from calls coming in from AAA. Above and beyond.

Lean-to's are great-sites - -restrooms very clean--Osmore pond is awesome - great hiking trails and, its very quiet--I went there 2 weekends in a row, cant say enough...

Super clean and open campground with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Off the beaten path but close enough to civilization that you can head into town for dinner if you don’t feel like cooking at a site. But if you do, the fireplaces are some of the best I’ve seen: solid, large brick structures with large, stable cooking grates. Fresh water available in several spots and the bathrooms are nice! The best part is the walk/drive to the serene pond. It was so quiet and beautiful, I haven’t experienced the absence of sound like that in...

Myself and a few friends camped here for a few days this past week while exploring the local area. I could not be more impressed by this campground. It was the most well maintained campground I have ever stayed at. The staff at the campground are extremely friendly, and take excellent care of it. there are plenty of activities in the area to keep you busy. The weekend was a little busy at this campground, but once the weekend warriors left, this campground really was peaceful with only a few occupants. I would gladly...

A little slice of heaven can be found here, if you look hard, and aren't carried off by the black flies and mosquitoes. Day use, camp grounds and remote camping. Horse camping. Group sites. Lean-tos. Remote means remote, canoe in, no sevices. Most remote sites have a lean-to. Bears, loons, moose, oh my! Call ahead for reservations. Ice and fire wood available for purchase. ONLY LOCALLY HARVESTED WOOD ALLOWED. Environmental reasons. There are ticks. And mushrooms.

I've been to a LOT of campgrounds. From Acadia to Green Mountains, all the way down to Kauai. New Discovery is one of the best, if not the best. It's open, easy to navigate, and has spaceous private sites. Everything is clean and well maintained. There is plenty of hiking, kayaking, and swimming opportunities. Super chill staff is icing on the proverbial cake. Highly recommended!
