Sunshine’s Adventures — Hotel in Pegram

We just finished tubing and I write this review visibly shaken from our experience. The employees should be experienced enough to warn tubers of areas that are potentially dangerous. We were in a group of 7 with a floater and at one point (before the second bridge on the right side) we were caught in a major current that caught us between logs and resulted in multiple flipped tubes and 3 of us being trapped under them underwater. For “optimal” conditions, that current could have resulted in drowning. It left our group of experienced swimmers screaming for help from another group of tubers and visibly shaken. Secondly, as our friend began having an allergic reaction, the one worker did not know what anything in the first aid bag was. I think it is extremely important for all employees to be well-versed in first aid, especially given we all faced a near-death (that is not an exaggeration) experience with drowning. While I understand this company does not control the river currents, it felt as though there could have been more warnings with the river conditions. I DO NOT recommend doing this unless you are willing to potentially lose your phone/valuables and are an experienced swimmer who is able to push themselves out of a current. The employees are very, very kind, and I understand they can not control what happens on the river, but what they can control is adequately preparing people for what to expect...

This experience was amazing!! Beginning with the ease of scheduling and the consistent communication. Parking was so easy since it was just 2 of us. If we had a bigger group, we were told we could have used a shuttle service like The Nashville Shuttle to bring us instead. When we arrived we were greeted by Captain Sunshine himself! He's such a great personality! So full of life, passionate, kind, and knowledgeable! We were given clear and concise instructions that were easy to remember. He also provided historical information about the area! The tubes, etc were in great condition! Captain Sunshine was very knowledgeable about the river conditions and provided us with all the necessary equipment even additional helpful equipment (ex: small paddles for when the river is slow). Sunshine Adventures also helped bring the equipment down to the launch area and bring it up from the landing area. The river was fun, relaxing, and absolutely beautiful! I would not ever use this company. Worst customer service. No one answers the phone no one calls back. This company canceled my reservation unexpectedly because I had a previous reservation that didn’t get cancelled. I changed the reservation date and have been talking with them to update the reservation to add more people. They changed all request. All this time I thought that the initial reservation was being updated. However, no one discussed anything about it. Now that the time for the previous reservation came and we didn’t show up for that cause I thought that was updated to the new date. They canceled my all reservations without notifying me of anything. Now they won’t honor my reservation. After showing them email proof that we have been talking about the new date this whole time. This is ridiculous!
