The beginning of our stay started out with having a dispute with the young lady (Angie) in the cartoon cafe about our $70 dollar pizzas that took two hours to be ready (due to phone in orders taking priority was the excuse given), we placed our order at 530 pm when they first opened (they were suppose to open at 5pm but were running behind) we were the 2nd group to order, we ordered 3 pizzas, 1 hour went by and our buzzer went off to go get our food, we got up there and the worker informed us that they didn’t have pepperoni and that she only had 1 pizza cooking, so we go back to the pool, at 7pm a worker came by to tell us it was time to go they were closing the pool, we informed her we were just wanting for our food we ordered at 530, she goes to the cafe to be told she is working on our pizza and it would be another 15 minutes (at this point we just asked to cancel our order because the wait time was m ridiculous, she said rudely that she couldn’t cancel it because she was working on it already, so we asked to speak to a manager she said with an attitude “you can walk across the street to Ranger station and find her” so we tried but no one was there because they were closed for the night) at this point there are 3 or 4 families waiting, we ask how long they have been waiting and they said 25 mins, they got their food before us! Around 730 we finally get our pizza (2 hours later) we asked for a receipt and she informed us she wasn’t allowed to give receipts? The next day we tried to do the events but they were very unorganized and not well planned, we witnessed a staff member yell at an employee over keys in front of the entire hey ride (which was full of people), our hey hey ride broke down and we waited 30 min for it to be switched, we tried to participate in the activities but they either didn’t have all of the items needed for the activity or some of the workers didn’t know what activities were suppose to be happening. We went to go to the egg hunt for the children and we were told we had to have our wrist bands on (which we did, except our son who wasn’t required to wear one) the manger told us he was required to put it on or he wouldn’t be allowed to participate in the egg hunt even thought we told her he was 2 and then she repeated rudely that he won’t be able to participate unless he wears it, we run back to the cabin get his wrist band and make him wear it, for her to tell others they don’t have to have it. The cartoon cafe hours were not the same as listed online and they were not posted at the cafe, they didn’t have many items that were listed on the menu (no big deal we made due with what we brought and what they had). Our golf carts parking break only worked occasionally, but it was nice that they offered them as it was good to have. There were not any instructions at all on what needed to be done upon check out, and when we checked out the office wasn’t opened (check out is 11am but they didn’t open until 12pm), so we had to find the worker cleaning cabins to ask her. We also did have some issues with our cabin like the door not locking. We understand that people have bad days and that the staff is only human but the customer service here could be worked on.We did have a good time the last day, the kids loved the pool, the fishing, gem mining, the playground and put put golf. Julie (JuJu) was absolutely amazing to us and her sweet tea was delicious. Chandler went above and beyond for us and was so sweet! Stephanie on our last day there was super nice and helpful! Josh and the kitchen staff were very nice and made great food! The egg hunt for the kids was nice and the adult egg hunt and prizes was a great touch for the weekend, our family one a free stay and a bunch of jellystone park items at the adult egg hunt. The additional eggs around the park for the kids on easter was really nice! They also offer a church service on Sunday! We would recommend this location to others and we hope our future visit will be a better experience the whole time!
Update: Manger has called...
Read moreWe went on July 29-31, peak season. This was our 4th or 5th visit in as many years, and sadly it will be our last. I don't know what changed but it is absolutely not the same. First the listing shows a pic of a window unit air conditioner in the loft, there was not one. Our kids were so hot, they couldn't sleep. It was a good 10° hotter in the loft than the rest of the miserably HOT cabin with apparently too small of a unit to cool them. The cabin it's self was filthy, the floors turned our socks black (we didn't dare walk around it without something on our feet) and the dishes.... Oh the filth on the dishes was disgusting, thankfully the bedding was only half as gross as the dishes but still gross none the less. Housekeeping is not doing their job. You can NOT charge 5 star prices and provide 1 star accommodations and expect anyone to return. I feel we paid at least double what we were given. The pool area is just ok. There was an excessive amount of unsupervised children, meaning no one was stopping the atrocious behavior, like, running around bumping into people, jumping into the pool right next to small children, hitting people with balls or floats. There was dozens and dozens of children everywhere doing whatever they please. The equipment is old and run down, doesn't look well maintained. The water in the pool smelled AWFUL, like dangerous even. The food, what an awful mistake to try to get food. But it was too nasty and too hot to try to attempt to cook in the cabin. So we ordered from the restaurant. It took almost an hour to get our order of extremely overpriced garbage. There was one person taking orders and I only ever saw one person working on the food. We ordered 1 hamburger, 1 hot dog, 2 nachos. An hour later we got our food. The people who ordered directly ahead of us (party of 2 adults and 6 kids ordered 3 pizzas) were done eating and cleaning up by the time we got our food. They had to make us basically 1 hamburger and 1 hot dog. Since the cashier was staying so busy, people getting their food were not getting any help from her on anything and several asked the lady bringing out the food for assistance and she was RUDE to everyone, like seriously everyone, snapping "ask her" pointing to the woman with 13 people in line. The young lady taking orders was nice, frazzled but sweet. Just the kitchen lady was rude. We watched a couple come in with what looked like 40 kids and they all went and grabbed boiled peanut cups and were chewing on them, licking on them, putting the cups to their mouths etc. They paid for 1 cup and walked over, took the rest of the cups and put them BACK on the stack of cups for the next person. Sooo gross! Maybe move those so kids cant drool in them prior to others using them? I don't understand why during peak season you can not put more than one person taking orders and one person cooking. I did see another person in the back but they never did anything. I am so disappointed in the whole experience. We enjoyed our prior experiences, which is why we returned. It saddens me that we will not ever be going back. I hope the management sees this and does better especially in the areas of housekeeping and the restaurant so others won't waste large sums of money on a...
Read moreMy family stayed in the Yogi waterfront cabin Y9 for 2 nights this past week and I’m going to hope it was just this cabin that is this bad- but steer clear of this one. I don’t know if it’s because it is “pet friendly” but they have not kept this cabin up whatsoever. We rented a golf cart also and they had tons of golf carts sitting in the front the whole time we were there and we got the worst golf cart on the lot. It had a flat tire before we even got in it and then 1 day later had another flat tire. When we first pull up to the cabin it has a broken dining chair on the front porch, odd but ok. Inside the entire dining table is so wobbly. All chairs are wobbly with the legs dangling around, it didn’t feel safe to sit in. The back sliding door didn’t lock or even close. They had a stick keeping it shut. I brought my kids and my son has autism and is nonverbal, it made us extremely nervous with the way this door was on the lake!! If I had known about even just the door I would’ve stayed in a smaller cabin. Our feet were black from how dirty the floor was. The toilet when you sat on it felt like it sank down and the lid would hit you in the back. The tile around the shower would sink down when stepped on and it was very cracked. The shower water pressure was close to nonexistent, we didn’t even want to take a shower. There appeared to be mold near the ac vent in the bathroom. The breaker flipped on the fridge and we thought the fridge broke, so we had to call the night number and Chuck came to look at it at 9pm. He was super nice and a great employee. When we got in the bed at night there was actually sand in between the sheets and we hadn’t been around sand the whole day. The WiFi did not work in this cabin and all the channels on the tv were fuzzy except 3. We read that the waterpark was open until 7, so after we checked in at 4 we got dressed and went down and were there for 10 minutes maybe and the employee said they were closing down in 5 minutes. We told her we thought it was 7 and she said started Thursday it was 7 but since it was Monday it was 5…. The next day we are at the park enjoying it for maybe 10 minutes and 3 bus full of high schoolers pull up. There were so many kids, clogging the slides, using our towel, so many in the pool my daughter couldn’t even use her goggles. So we came back when we knew they’d have to leave to go back and they had vomited in the pool and it was closed, my daughter was upset she couldn’t use her goggles again. It felt like a day wasted. We did enjoy the slides until 5. This cabin is way too expensive for this type of cabin. We paid close to $700 for 2 nights and I would not ever stay here again. I would come to the waterpark for the day but that’s it. I would not ever pay that much for what it was. I don’t like that I feel like I wasted that money. Again this could just specifically be cabin Y9. I’m hoping whoever oversees the reviews reads this and can check...
