Wow! We had no idea what to expect and were absolutely delighted by the Inn and Pella. The home is beautiful, warm and cozy. I still dream of lying in the hammock out front. We got to see all the rooms and they would all be really nice to stay in. Ours had a deep tub which was perfect. Most have window seats - all seem to have a special place for relaxing and are a good size (we thought they were bigger than the pictures looked on the web site).
Kim thought of everything down to snacks and drink bar, Pella cookies, high end toiletries. Her breakfast was amazing and when she found about some of our favorites, she found a way to incorporate them. She is also just really kind and interesting which makes visiting such a joy.
Pella itself is a wonderful town - so much to do. You can tell the towns people are really proud as they should be. We rented bikes and did the trail around the lake. That was fun! We could have easily spent several nights there and can't wait to return. Pack some books because there are great places to read on the porch (also great for wine at night) and inside. Location was ideal because a few minutes to the lake and town - so quieter and convenient. The bike trail is literally at the front line of the property. I would say this is on the top of our list of favorite places to stay. You will love it if you want to enjoy some pampering, refreshing and a lovely environment. And really good night's sleep. An oasis in Iowa and well worthy of our 3.5 hour drive to it. It would be an ideal place for a couples or women's retreat. Perfect for a couple wanting some special...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this bed and breakfast! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. Kim went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect—friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile or helpful recommendation.
The food was truly outstanding. Each breakfast was homemade, fresh, and absolutely delicious—far beyond the standard fare. You could tell a lot of love and care went into every meal. It was the perfect way to start each day.
The atmosphere was cozy, charming, and peaceful—just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with amazing hosts and...
Read moreWe had the most amazing stay at The Cheesemakers Inn B&B! It was clean, comfy, cozy, and quiet. The common areas are comfortable with a nice spot to curl up with a cup of coffee and read or just chill. Kim makes the most wonderful homemade breakfasts with real, local ingredients and a traditional flare that comes with a story. The family has a cheese making business so each breakfast comes with a sample. The toasted pizza cheese curd was so yummy and her granola is the best! We visted Pella for the balloon festival and we didn't have to go anywhere to see them. They were "delivered" right to us, floating over the property! I lost count after 26 of them. They just kept coming. I have already highy recommended this B&B to...
