In this quiet west bay Mission Penninsula, you will find peace, serenity, and the type of quiet joy that feeds the soul. The inn keepers are love incarnate. My husband and I stayed in room 678 for our 1 year anniversary. I had requested sunflowers and champagne to be in our room upon check in as a surprise to my husband. They delivered 🙌 a beautiful bouquet and delicious champagne along with a handwritten note from the staff were picturesque on the kitchenette table. We had a beautiful view of the bay from this room. We were treated with the greatest amount of genuine acceptance and kindness. The evening was beautifully quiet with a sweet library, a camp fire, and a lit path down to seats at the end of the peer. There are sound machines in each room which adds to the relaxation and rest a night at Neahtawanta provides. A clawfoot tub and lavender scented everything could also be partially to blame for the amount of R&R experienced. After a night of pure restful bliss, breakfast is served in the large room or on the lovely back porch. The frittata and Sally's homemade bread with blueberry compote was to die for! Everything was made with extra love, you can just feel it. The coffee was heaven in a cup. The only downside of this trip was leaving. We will be back and will be suggesting this inn to anyone who will listen. Thank you everyone at Neahtawanta Inn. Your family atmosphere and overflowing love and care for others made such an impression on my husband and I. We will now spend the next year dreaming about this trip. ♡ Danielle...
Read moreOur family has just returned home from another GREAT family vacation spent at the Neahtawanta Inn. We first discovered this gem in 2019 and have returned every year (except 2020). It has become a non-negotiable for our family to spend time at Neahtawanta every Summer. It is hard to describe in words how special this place is but I will do my best:-). First and foremost the family that runs Neahtawanta is absolutely wonderul. I can honselty say, I consider Sally (Co-founder of the Inn), her grandson Anders and wife Jaclyn (who run the Inn now with Sally entering retirment) their sweet daughter Joanie and of course their loveable cat Marco exteneded members of our family. That is RARE and treasured by us. In terms of amenities you just can't beat the value. The Inn is positioned at the end of a strech of road that follows the beautiful Traverse Bay, providing guests direct access to the Bay, including comfortable Adirondac chairs to soak up Traverse Bay's beauty, as well as, Kayaks, Canoes, and Floaties at your disposal. Also, each morning you will wake to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and an amazing homemade breakfast which includes all locally grown ingredients. Every breakfast is always accompanied with a beautifully presented plate of fruit, again from local TC farms. My daughter is obsessed with Sally's homemade bread and Anders and Jaclyn were so kind to send us off with a loaf of Sallys bread this year and hopefully a bread making lesson next Summer with Sally:-) We love Neahtawanta Inn and can't wait to see you...
Read moreOur stay at the Neahtawanta Inn was nothing short of perfect. Innkeepers Anders and Jacqueline made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for—as if we were longtime friends. Their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail created a space filled with love, peace, and heartfelt hospitality.
The inn itself is beautifully scenic and incredibly peaceful. Nestled in nature and surrounded by water, it's the perfect place to unwind and reconnect while still being a short drive away from great restaurants, vineyards and downtown TC. Every corner of the property exudes such a home-y feel, and the atmosphere encourages you to slow down and be in the moment.
One of the most memorable aspects of our stay was how accommodating Anders and Jacqueline were to my family’s needs. They went above and beyond to ensure my father-in-law, who uses a wheelchair, was comfortable and able to fully enjoy the space. They also made sure my brother in law, who has celiac disease, had delicious, safe, gluten-free food at every breakfast. The breakfasts were fresh, nourishing, and prepared with genuine care.
One of my favorite things about the stay was the inn kitty Marco. Such a loving chill dude who adds to the love Neahtwanta brings.
We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about when we can return. The Neahtawanta Inn is more than a place to stay—it’s a heartfelt experience. Highly recommended and I...
