Read moreLake Michigan camp and Retreat did a great job at accommodating my family and I last minute. Nice sites and the extended “white” tents worked well. There was a miscommunication with our reservation, however they quickly assigned us a tent. We originally were assigned a Green tent (I was not impressed with). We would have made it work, but it ended up next to a family that was having a family Reunion, so staff had us move regardless, which we were fine with. Anyways, after getting our site, we found out our tent was occupied the night before (which with COVID, we weren’t very pleased). There seemed to be many tents available during our stay which I would have thought they all could be rotated better. After returning for the day, we arrived to have “close” new neighbors, that apparently you have to share a fire pit with if you choose to have a fire! (Thought that was odd!). Our neighbors also carried on til late in the night as well. It was just too close...
Read moreWe stayed four nights and five days in the new "Log" Cabins in the North Camping Area. The cabins were beautiful, dry and comfortable. Two of them had a wall dividing the sleeping area and the dining/living area (#1 and #3), the middle cabin (#2) is one large room. There is a counter with a small refrigerator underneath against the front wall. There are also plenty of electrical outlets so bring your chargers, a "rustic" log table for eating or play cards and somewhat comfortable beds depending on how firm you like your bed. The showers are just a short walk away. There are plenty of activities (basketball, tether ball, biking trails, and mini golf). A narrow beach is just a short hope over the dunes (stairs will take you there) and you will find enough room to set chairs and a beach tent. The staff was courteous and helpful, the atmosphere was restful. Highly recommend this camp for anyone looking...
