We stayed at Lenora’s Inn for one night during our bike trip from Pittsburgh to Cumberland (GAP trail- get off at mile 102, and then another less than a mile to Lenora’s Inn). I would say this is the best B&B experience. We would like to give 5 stars for service, food, and room.
Service: When we arrived, Lenora was waiting for us at her porch, and served us with fresh cool lemon water, homemade cookies, and some chips. This is definitely best snacks you could have after a long day biking in a summer day. Although we couldn’t have dinner at Lenora’s (as reservation only), Lenora did give us info for deliveries in town, so that we didn’t waste time to search around. We walked around in town after dinner, and Lenora provided us some guide book too. The morning before we departed, she offered us two bags of snacks with granola bars, peanuts, apples and water to have on the way. And she told us if there’s any emergency happened to us, she’ll be there for us. This is very very sweet.
Breakfast: two-course meal. It starts with fruit platters. Then a plate with eggs, sausages, potato pancake, and FRENCH TOAST! The homemade French toast is the best I have ever had (even compared to many Michelin star restaurants). It’s a must have!
Room: sparkling clean! It provides everything you need (including vanity sets, makeup removal towels for girls, and knit sets). The bed is very comfy (it’s a harder mattress, and good for my back). And the room is probably the most quiet you could ever stay. We felt very recharged the following morning.
Overall, our review is very positive, and we felt we were truly being taken care of for the whole time during our stay at Lenora’s Inn! Thank you very much, Lenora! Definitely would go back if we’re passing around the town.
Recommendations for future guests: if you want to have dinner at Lenora’s (not only is it the finest restaurant in town, but would be a great restaurant anywhere), make sure to have dinner reservations ahead of time! Lenora wants to be able not only to buy ingredients and...
Read moreI stayed at the Inn for the last night of a week long stay in Eastern Ohio/Western PA. I chose this inn on a whim as I wanted to be in proximity to the Pittsburgh airport but not too close. I’ll always choose a small town if I can and this definitely met my criteria.||There was some confusion when I arrived at 3pm as there was nobody to meet me. When I phoned I was told I was early but then Lenora met me on the porch, said it was her mistake and welcomed me inside. I was welcomed with delicious chocolate chip cookies and a cold water. Lenora and I spent some time talking, she told me the history of the house and gave me a tour. It was a Monday night and I was the only guest at the inn but when I asked about dinner I was told they couldn’t accommodate me. Lenora did give me a recommendation of a small restaurant a mile down the road so I took that as an opportunity to walk through the town on my way to dine. When I arrived back there were multiple cars parked outside so perhaps a dinner party had reserved the entire restaurant.||My room was clean and my bed was comfortable. Breakfast is a fixed menu and served at an appointed time (0800). Breakfast was very good and served on the porch. I asked if I could have an extra hour to check out and Lenora was able to accommodate my request which was appreciated. Lenora sent me off with a goodie bag of bottled water and snacks which was a nice touch.||I’m not a bicyclist so not sure if I would ever have occasion to return but the Inn is a great place to lay your head if passing through and the price was decent. I would consider staying here again if the situation...
Read moreThis is an amazing Inn with amazing hosts! We were greeted by Lenora with cookies and water. The room was clean and comfortable but the best thing is the food and the hosts! Breakfast was delicious and when we were leaving she sent us on our way with a travel bag of bottled water, an apple and other snacks. Will definitely stay here again, and for the person who was complaining about not being able to go in for dinner the night they stayed…..she used reservations so she can plan the meal and buy ingredients fresh for the amount of people booked. If you complain about that then go to the Holiday Inn and leave the rooms here to people who appreciate the effort she puts into making...
