Weekend mom and daughter trip to the BEAUTIFUL Plantation House Boutique Inn located in Pflugerville, TX. This bed and breakfast is perfect for families, couples, or a group of friends looking to get away. It was so serene and peaceful, and the hosts were absolutely delightful! #momanddaughter #texas #weekendgetaway #bedandbreakfast #restandrecharge #summer

These were just the most amazing 6 days I could ask for. The owners Luey and Norris are such nice and welcoming people. They try to make your stay as comfortable, memorable and perfect as possible, and by the end, it really is! Luey starts off every morning making the most amazing, delicious and breathtaking breakfast. Every day her breakfast is something different and every day it just melts away in your mouth. The beautiful house is about 20-25 minutes from Downtown Austin (depending on traffic). Which is perfect for a more quiet and relaxing stay. This way I didn’t wake up from cars and traffic but from birds chirping. At clear nights, you can even go outside and do some beautiful star watching. The rooms were amazingly decorated (every room is a bit different) and were super clean. (Fun fact: the rooms are named after each grandkid… just so lovely. This way, staying it those rooms, makes you feel like part of the family) I had such a pleasant stay, I’m even planning on coming back in a few weeks. It’s the perfect place to begin and end your Texas vacation.

Nestled in amongst the booming housing developments in the growing town of Pflugerville, Texas lies a charming place called The Plantation House. The opulent wrought iron gate welcomes visitors and beckons them into a time long forgotten. The pond filled with ducks and geese make the guests feel as though they have left the city and traveled deep into the countryside. As you pull up to the large impressive house you are filled with a sense of old world style meets southern comfort. The hostess greets each visitor as though they are family and her bubbly personality puts you at ease immediately. Upon arrival, you are given a complete tour of the home while the hostess shares bits and pieces about the house and the treasures that lie around every corner. The rooms are filled with warm lights and amenities to rival any 5 star hotel. This bed and breakfast plantation home is definitely a hidden gem that everyone needs to experience.

I am so happy I came The Plantation House during a Google Search. I was looking for Bed and Breakfast places in Texas and it popped up. I immediately fell in love with the pictures of the house, rooms and landscape.

As my boyfriend and I entered the gate to the estate, I felt like I was going to Downton Abbey or was about to enter a Hallmark movie. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendliest Inn keepers Luey and Norris. Luey gave us a tour and she had some homemade cookies and banana bread waiting for us. I was excited because banana bread is my favorite. My boyfriend and I stayed over New Year's. He and I were upgraded to the Honeymoon Suite. His family showed up later that night and stayed in the Harper Suite. We were fortunate that we had the entire house to ourselves.

The beds were the comiest we've ever slept in from a Bed and Breakfast or hotel. The linens were of the highest quality. You will get a really good night's sleep and won't want to get up out from under the covers. The decor of the house was beautifully decorated. The Christmas tree was still up and just simply gorgeous. The weather outside got down to the 30s so Luey made a fire in the living room for us.

The first morning Luey made us German pancakes topped with blueberries, strawberries, topped with whipped cream and a side of crispy bacon. The second morning we had homemade biscuits topped with a meat gravy and a side of eggs. She made extra biscuits and we had them with homemade fig preserves from her garden. The third morning we had homemade french toast, crispy bacon and boiled apples.

Luey is not only a FABULOUS cook, she has the best personality. She goes over and beyond to make sure you are taken care of and feel comfortable. Luey and Norris make you feel like family.

Thank you, Luey and Norris for your wonderful hospitality and opening your home to us. We will...

My wife and I stayed at the Plantation House for 8nights in the honeymoon suite which was a generous size with a queen bed, walk in closet, separate bathroom and separate TV room with sofa which we found to be completely beyond our expectations compared to boutique hotels we have previously stayed in.

The house itself is overwhelming as you’ll see the first time you drive up to it and set in lovely gardens which are meticulously maintained by the wonderful hosts.

In regards to the facilities, the whole place was spotless, the bathroom was good size and there was a proper hairdryer, not one of those travel hairdryers which my wife apparently cannot stand!

The décor of the room and the whole house is beautiful, stylish and perfectly suited for the home.

There is a Nespresso machine that had a wide range of coffees to choose from, which we took full advantage of while sitting in various communal areas of the house such as the porch, the 2 reception rooms downstairs, the kitchen… outside by the pool.

Now to the hosts, Luanna and Norris, they were gracious, kind, such lovely people, and great ambassadors for the famous southern hospitality we all hear about… From Luanna’s freshly cooked to order breakfasts which were served with a coffee or tea with a side of fabulous conversation to the freshly baked cookies and banana bread to Norris’ cowboy stories, his 2 step and his awesome collection of cowboy boots and belts!

If you find it hard to negotiate where to eat in Austin ask Luanna and Norris, they have a wealth of knowledge on the food front!

We could not have asked for better hosts, they opened up their home and made us feel like we were at home.

We will...

Wow! It is hard to know where to begin. First of all, the grounds as you pull up are just so well maintained and the acreage feels like your own private gardens. Then you hop out to greet the nicest inn keepers ever and take a quick tour of the beautiful and well kept mansion. This ends in your room where everything is intuitively placed to be optimally functional, beautiful and perfectly clean.

We have had a hard time finding bed and breakfasts sometimes that even allow children. Not only did the Harper Suite have the perfect Jack and Jill set up but in subtle ways they had planned perfectly to host children here. Included in the drawers was a video monitor and a tucked away Pack and Play. Also, there is plenty of built in storage for all the travel necessities with kids and a TV too high and tucked away for them to reach. This is above and beyond the perfectly laundered high thread count bedding in both rooms. I would also like to take a minute and say that they genuinely seemed to enjoy having us and our small child visit but not only us, everyone who stayed there. It created a feeling of warmth and made our vacation better.

As any parent will probably agree, the nespresso machine silently cranking out morning coffee on the same floor as our rooms was a fan favorite. I would have to say the fresh banana bread and cookies were our daughters favorite but the breakfasts were mine. Every morning our hosts would chat and make the most delicious food we had all trip.

In short,...
