The meadows on Rock creek is a truly special place- you'll notice this as soon as you drive onto the property, but every minute you spend there will reiterate that feeling. You'll be greeted on the property like a friend, with all of the staff helping to ensure you're as comfortable and happy as possible. The wildlife are abundant (we were lucky to see a moose, some deer as well as plenty of squirrels and a few rabbits. Some of the other guests mentioned seeing some elk on their horseback riding tour) and the gentle sounds of the creek and wildlife really help create a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere.

Will is an exceptional host, doing his absolute best to accommodate you in your stay. He is also a great storyteller, and just a great guy to be around. His vision and passion for the land, conservation, fly fishing and hospitality are immediately evident. He was happy to show us to some special spots on the property, which had some amazing views and cool stories about the start of the ranch to go along with them.

My fiance and I had never been horseback riding, and we were blessed to get to ride with John for a 3 hour tour of the property. The horses were kind and easy to manage, even for complete beginners and we were able to see some amazing sights. We were totally comfortable the entire time, and John's cool presence was a big part of that!

In the afternoon we were lucky to have some incredible fly fishing on the rock creek. Zach helped get my Fiance set up, having never fly fished before, and she was able to hook and land some incredible fish. He was always ready to help us in our river crossings and made sure that we were safe and comfortable at all times. Laine helped me find some great spots and get hooked up in some bucket list fish (the western slope cutthroat here have some great color and can put up a nice fight)! Both of us left the river in time for dinner with huge smiles on our faces that we just couldn't wipe off!

Finally, the food here is nothing short of delicious. The chef, Casey, made unique and incredible meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He was happy to accommodate our dietary restrictions, and what he came up with was delicious and filling. You won't go hungry on this ranch!

All that is to say, the staff and location make staying at the Meadows on Rock creek a truly special experience. We hope to be back someday and spend...

Just returned from a 5 day stay at the Meadows on Rock Creek.||||The short version is this- WE HAD AN UNBELIEVABLE STAY. Will and his team were awesome. The fishing, food and accommodations were top notch.||||If you like detail and never read Cliff notes in High School or College (not sure if that reference is even contemporary any longer) then read on.||||My son (12) and I stayed at the Meadows for 4 nights and fished three days. Our fishing days were usually half days and we spent afternoons participating in one of the many on site activities.||||The fishing was awesome. The guides were patient, knowledgeable and just simply fun to be around. Their enthusiasm for the sport was contagious. They were so patient with my son and were constantly teaching and helping him to become a better fly fisherman. ||||He got to tie his first fly and caught a beautiful cutthroat on it. After landing that fish on the fly he tied I will never forget that look on his face!||||Speaking for myself I came away from my stay there as a better and more knowledgeable trout fisherman. Oh, and yeah, we caught a lot of fish! Some big and all beautiful and special.||||The food was a highlight. All meals were thoughtfully and meticulously prepared and presented. The variety of meals and dishes was impressive. I have some food allergies and preferences, and all were accommodated and seamlessly blended into delicious meals. Even if the weather had precluded fishing (thank goodness it did not) our stay would have still been enjoyable due to the food.||||The cabins are perfect. They are comfortable, clean and well appointed. The layout and décor are well thought out. The only problem is you won’t want to stay inside them for very long given the beauty around you. The view is just wow! How about having your morning coffee or reading a book with a direct view of beautiful Rock Creek. ||||For non-fishing activities we did horseback riding and archery. Both were great fun.||||In summary, Will and his team seemed completely focused on assuring my son and I had the best stay possible. We made memories that will last a...

Just returned from a 5 day stay at the Meadows on Rock Creek.

My son (12) and I stayed at the Meadows for 4 nights and fished three days. Our fishing days were usually half days and we spent afternoons participating in one of the many on site activities.

The fishing was awesome. The guides were patient, knowledgeable and just simply fun to be around. Their enthusiasm for the sport was contagious. They were so patient with my son and were constantly teaching and helping him to become a better fly fisherman.

He got to tie his first fly and caught a beautiful cutthroat on it. After landing that fish on the fly he tied I will never forget that look on his face!

Speaking for myself I came away from my stay there as a better and more knowledgeable trout fisherman. Oh, and yeah, we caught a lot of fish! Some big and all beautiful and special.

The food was a highlight. All meals were thoughtfully and meticulously prepared and presented. The variety of meals and dishes was impressive. For non-fishing activities we did horseback riding and archery. Both were great fun.

In summary, Will and his team seemed completely focused on assuring my son and I had the best stay possible. We made memories that will...

TEN STARS!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My husband and I just spent five incredible days at The Meadows on Rock Creek Guest Ranch outside of Philipsburg, Montana, to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and I can honestly say it was the trip of a lifetime. Fly fishing was a big part of why we chose this ranch. My husband is much more advanced, and Zach and Henry gave him tips and new techniques that he loved. At the same time, they were wonderful with me as a beginner and made it easy and fun to learn. It was such a great balance for both of us. One of my favorite moments was trying archery on my own with Henry, who was so patient and encouraging — he made the whole experience a blast. Beyond that, we went horseback riding, shot sporting clays and long guns, and even mined for sapphires. Every single day had something fun and different to do. And the food! Chef’s Michael and Cleo outdid themselves — three gourmet meals a day that rivaled anything I’ve ever had at a five-star restaurant. I almost cried when I woke up at home this morning and had to make my own coffee and breakfast. Will, his staff, guides, and chefs all went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrated. We will absolutely be back, and we’ll be telling everyone we know about this special place.

My husband and I just returned from a magical few days at The Meadows. Us “city folk” had always dreamed of exploring Montana and its offerings, but this exceeded anything we imagined. The accommodations were lovely; darling fully furnished cottages with a spectacular clubhouse/ dining area all looked out across a beautiful meadow with Rock Creek bubbling in the background. The service was top notch with every attention to detail handled by Will and his staff. The food was incredible; what a gem Chef Casey is! He’s a master at developing flavors and creating beautiful dishes using local meats and fresh vegetables. His potatoes are legendary, and his cobblers are the best I’ve ever had! The quality of the food and wine are first class. The all inclusive aspect allowed us to try many new things. Fly fishing was fantastic, and our guide, Henry, was very patient with us newbies. His instructions miraculously saw us both catching cutthroat trout. We also did archery (super fun!), horseback riding, and had a ton of fun doing some distance shooting. I was very intimidated, but with fabulous instruction, felt relaxed and really enjoyed it. We enjoyed some hikes and gem mining to round out our time. Highly recommend a getaway to The Meadows.

My stay at The Meadows at Rock Creek was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in the heart of Montana’s breathtaking wilderness, this hidden gem perfectly blends luxury and nature. The accommodations were cozy and beautifully decorated, providing all the modern comforts while reflecting Montana's rustic charm. The gourmet meals were a highlight, showcasing fresh, local ingredients with incredible flavors. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the variety of activities offered. I had an amazing time fly fishing in the pristine waters, and the archery course was both challenging and fun. The self guided nature hike was also a great way to explore the local flora and fauna. What truly stood out was the warm, wholesome hospitality. The staff made sure every aspect of my stay was perfect, making me feel like part of the family. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with fantastic amenities, The Meadows at Rock Creek is the place to be. I can’t wait to return!
