We stayed at site 19, it's full hook up. Site is not level, but it's huge and nice view of the campground. Just bring enough leveling blocks. Staff was very friendly, and they definitely keep the place nice and clean. They have alot of food options, including fresh lobster they cook and deliver to your campsite. It's very close, 15-30 minutes, to a number of breweries as well. We did enjoy our stay here. Only issue we had and this is at no fault of the campground, was some of the people. Someone was letting off large fireworks through campsites. Propane and fireworks don't mix! Plus they could hit someone's rig/truck. Several kids walking through our site between truck and camper. Again, this is common sense and camper etiquette issues not the campgrounds. I feel like this year we have had more issues at places with camper etiquette and common sense. Anyway, we would go back here. It was a very nice, quaint campground.

This year is my 2nd visit & I'm enjoying the experience as much, if not more, than last year. A pool; an eatery, the camp store, friendly staff, all occidating with the needs of camping patrons. The songs of Golden Finches, Pine Warblers, as well as the Pilated Woodpeckers, ring throughout the grounds. The quiet & respect of the camping neighbors is superb. My wife & I, rendezvous with "life long" friends, yet every year, we meet new & interesting (like-minded) people. Something interesting is at the camp store;...a bag of "fossils & gems", for the rockhounds in your party of guests. For "Nature lovers", birders, & photographers; I give "Meadowbrook" a 5 star rating

We needed a place to stay for our bucket list trip to Maine...and I cannot tell you HOW THRILLED we were to find this place! It's absolutely beautiful here! It's peaceful and everyone was kind, friendly, and welcoming! The owners were on point: friendly, informative, helpful, and available to answer questions. They have fresh lobster and clams on site, cook them for you, and within minute they deliver them to your camper!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!! I can 💯 say that this campground is one of my top favorites of all the places we have stayed at!

Some background: We (my girlfriend and myself) were tent camping while attending a wedding in the area. Stayed for two nights. In short, would never camp here again. But if you have a bunch of kids, this place seems like it would be great for you.

The Pros: A lot cheaper than a hotel. Easy access to running water, clean bathroom facilities and showers. Staff seemed generally helpful (except whomever regulates things at night-see below), happy and courteous.

The Cons (in our experience): Choose your spot wisely. We were tent camping without kids. Our first site, while having access to running water and electricity, was right in the middle of a few families that were fairly quiet at night, but at 6:15 the kids were up crying and pulling a wagon up and down the road. By 7 the other group members arrived at the main camp site and were loudly preparing breakfast and yelling back and forth to each other. We asked to move sites because of this and we were told that we should have let the office know about the issue. New site for 2nd night, set back in the tent section. On a hill, but with a level tent platform and air mattresses, perfectly suited for us. We choose this spot because it looked to be much quieter. It was, until 12:30, when a group of young women rolled into their campsite directly down the hill and proceeded to set up camp as if it was 2 in the afternoon. Music playing, yell-talking back and forth to each other and repeatedly slamming car doors. Once the settled in, they hung out hooting and hollering around the campfire until 5AM. We asked them at about 2:30 to please quiet down. Did you call the front desk? Yup, after asking them to quiet down did not work, we called the number we were given. Someone drove by within a few minutes, but did not even say anything to them. They simply drove by slowly and made circles throughout the rest of the campground. Not surprisingly, the talking and nonsense continued. I am sure that the group had no idea that person was called because of them. Called again at 4:30 and the person simply said: "OK" and hung up the phone. He did not even show up. At 5, they decided to head to bed. I realize the business can not control their guests, but they clearly have established quiet times (10pm-7am) and whomever they had on that night did not seem to care. Also, having a cut-off time where people are not allowed to check in would be nice. Every camping site I have ever been has this for the simple reason that no one wants to be woken up to someone setting up camp in the middle of the night. Heading back up to Maine this fall, but never staying at this...

After many stays prior to our last ones with larger groups( 6-7 sites) , we’ve decided this would be our last time…

First when reserving they said we could set two tents on one site as long as the second tent was occupied by minors then at checking in (3 sites) we was told what were only able to have one tent on each sight and years prior we had asked about the moose cabin up front having a tent on it when we stayed and was told it wasn’t allowed this time it was allowed by other occupants… then another set of family members checking in with us was able to have two tents on their site with 5 adults…

The second, during the stay the bathrooms weren’t maintained at all they had 4 stalls to use the first one was out of toilet paper the second one doesn’t lock the third one was clogged the fourth one door got jammed the office was informed of that before noon Saturday and still Saturday night nothing was fixed

Thirdly a younger lady in the office when my 9year old daughter decided to ask the price on the mining bags as she was buying with her own money and trying to spend wisely the snarky lady responded “ probably the same price the other 4 times you asked me yesterday it hasn’t changed” my child hadn’t been in there the day prior to ask I had my neice with me. But hey sure we’d love to spend money at a spot that’s so rudely to customers and bothered by a child asking a question..

Fourth, the sites are terribly small and not level with dangerous trees above them! One good wind storm and they’d bust down onto a tent site or camper who knows who would get hurt

Fifth, they have paint ball offered on site and displayed on the signs when asked about it for our large group they claim to no longer do that anymore.

Sixly, the arcade games went up from 0.50-0.75$ per game to 2.00 per game to get a small candy dumdum lollipop pop out of the game or bouncy ball and the pool table only give 4balls for 2.00 and doesn’t have a cue ball definitely time for some better upgrades I get the pool renovation was probably costly so they upped the price in the arcade. But atleast maintaining your things.

Hope others can get a better experience you can totally see the change...

In spite of the glowing reviews, this campground is not recommended by me and I have camped in many over the years. I made my reservations by calling and gave the number of people coming. I am a grandfather and I was taking my daughter's family which included my Autistic granddaughter . First, they screwed up the number in the group initially whereas I called back to correct it since it involved an extra person ( $10 night additional fee). The lady assured me they would correct it and I could pay the additional fee when I got there, which I did. My daughter's family showed up a little later and the fun started. The owner, an older man , said I did not pay the fee and they would have to get their own campsite. I went up to the office to see what was going on and he threatened to have me arrested even though I was not belligerent. I left and my daughter went up to straighten it out and he threatened to have her arrested . She told him to call the police since she has a special needs daughter and the owner made disparaging remarks about her . He hung up the phone. That's when the lady employee who screwed this up in the first place came in and told him the extra fee was paid and she forgot to update the reservation as she promised to do. The man apologized later but the damage had already been done. we stayed the 3 days because my granddaughter was looking forward to the trip and it was too late to find another campground nearby. My daughter is contemplating filing a complaint under the Americans with Disabilities Act for the disparaging remarks he made about my granddaughter , his threats of arrest before other customers, and his quote of a non existent law to threaten my daughter. The other two women employees were nice people but it only takes one jerk to ruin a trip. He stayed away from us the time we were there and I ignored him whenever I saw him because I was not going to ruin my grand daughter's...
