Sycamore Flat campground is an awesome place for anyone near the Antelope valley that wants to see diverse landscapes in one trip close to home. The short trip outside of Little Rock is an awesome free campground that just requires the Adventure pass, which is purchased at nearby 4 points liquor store. Twelve easily accessible campsites await you. Plenty of shade trees and big hills for kids to tackle, and once they do the creek bed is right across the street which you can hike until you get your fill of nature. Fire rings are at each site are well thought out, but tress do overhang some sites so watch those fires please! No Verizon service. Peaceful. Beautiful! Other close campground over spillway too just 1 mile away. Beautiful creek. Highway dept, fire and ambulance dept come by twice a day. Motorcycle Sherrif patrolled.
Vault toilet with plenty of toilet paper. No water! Saw no wildlife except birds, marmots and small lizards. I will be back!
Be aware, you are remote and mostly alone. Almost NO local traffic at night. GPS/SOS device is a good idea if you hike or are alone. Emergency services are close by but they won't know if you can't tell them. Feel free to use pics...

People are friendly and keep to themselves so you don't have to worry about being bothered or bothering others. They have fire wood grills in the camps so that's a plus.
