We have stayed in many cabins in this area and this one is the absolute best! You would be hard pressed to find a cabin with better views or owners. We have stayed at Patriot Dream 3 times, the third time was when it was rebuilt after a fire. The owners take very good care of their properties (they also own a cabin across the street) and make sure their guests have everything they need and are well taken care of. The views from this cabin are amazing, both from the front and rear of the cabin. There is now a pavillion with a gas grill, fire pit, and plenty of seating. If you have never stayed in Wears Valley I highly recommend it. It is close enough to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Townsend to enjoy all that those places have to offer, but you don't have to battle traffic and congestion everytime you leave the cabin. The National Park is easily accessible at Lyon Spring Road and Metcalf Bottoms is a wonderful spot for a picnic. The first time we stayed here we booked through VRBO, but since then have booked directly with the owners and saved some money that way. I honestly can not think of a negative thing to say about this...
Read morePatriot Dream is by far the most beautiful cabin we have ever stayed in!! It has stunning panoramic views. There are balconies and access to the outdoors everywhere you look. Everything is new and well thought out. I can only speak for the downstairs en suite, but the bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in recently besides my own. The kitchen is so well-stocked with kitchenware, spices, and condiments that we enjoyed eating in a lot. It is clear that this is not a typical rental. It is a well-loved family home. Communication with the owners was top-notch. We did not want to leave, and we can't wait to go back with our kids. We've been visiting the Smokies for almost 20 years and stayed all kinds of places. Now we can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere but...
Read moreOur family of five (two adults and kids 10, 7, 1) spent a week in the cabin and had a wonderful time! While the drive up the mountain can be a bit daunting (especially to a Kansan) it’s TOTALLY worth it for those views! The cabin is very warm, inviting and comfortable. We really enjoyed the living room fireplace in the evenings and open concept to the kitchen. We also very much appreciated the relaxing hot tub after our hikes. The bathrooms and kitchen are very nicely updated and the composite deck is splinter free and kid friendly. Last but certainly not least... the host was gracious, friendly and very responsive. If you’re looking for a place to thoroughly enjoy the beauty and quiet side of the smokies, look no further! Have a...
