Been here a year. Hubby wrks in areas all around this place. Park is undergoing nice changes as far as landscape; fixing water drainage issues, taking down trees (some dying and some just in the way) as well as reconditioning Sites/Lots. A lot more to do but each season just gets them closer. Lets face it tho, it'll never be finished. Maintenance is an "all-the-time" thing... Is what it is. Im not a big fan of the wood chips they use for ground cover, or the black asphalt rock they use on roadway and Sites/Lots. The black tracks all over everything, and dont get me started on wood chips.... ACK! I deal w/it (asphalt rock) in my own way using rugs and I keep my dogs and myself away from wood chipping's. If youve ever dealt w/untreated mulch then u KNOW what Im talking about. The newly finished reconditioned Sites/Lots now tho have both black & white rock. RV sits on the black rocked area, and its sooo much nicer. Actually its easy on the eyes as well as theres no question as to HOW yur supposed to park yur RV. Looks very tidy. This also is a wrk in progress. Will say tho that the black rock they use is what theyre also using to pave roadways which is not dusty as the old stuff. THAT is great bc the dust can get terrible.
Free-roaming cats are a bit of an issue here. If u have cats, provide care for them! That doesnt mean just feeding them. This past Winter yur cats were looking for shelter "IN OTHER PEOPLES THINGS AND UNDER OUR SKIRTING!, bc yur not providing that for them. Its not only bothersome, its just plain cruel.
Dogs? I have dogs, I also care for them correctly. That means I clean up after them, I give them plenty of exercise, a place to play, and I try not to let them disrupt other guests. So, w/that said... The dog park is a Park, not yur dogs personal toilet! Clean up after them. It's not fair to other guests who do use it. Four Seasons is nice enough to provide the area along w/waste bags and a waste can. Are u THAT lazy!?
Theres an "activities coordinator" they keep events rolling for all ages during "summer seasonal time", which opens April 1st. A schedule prior to each wknd event, once they start, comes wkly.
Winter stay is quiet time, for passer thru's/overnighters and traveling workers. Office staff needs a break so they can plan nxt seasons events and maintenance can do their thing....😁😉
Winter guests, who there are a few of us, get to know each other pretty well. Holidays & snow days can be a lot of fun.
Its a nice big place. Secure entrance, security on site (rarely needed), and a well-maintained Park. Lots of trees and shade in summer for most Sites/Lots. I tried adding pics but no luck posting. Sorry. It showed some of the improvements. Oh, and Ty, Ty, to maintenance! Finally getting to all those piles of leaves. There is so much more that went on this past winter and still is, and all b4 warmer weather kicks in the busy season. Im a camp wrker, altho Im not wrking now and haven't for a couple of yrs, I do understand more than others do about what goes into taking care of an RV Resort/Campground. Be patient, follow the rules. Youll have a better experience if u do. Some rules may seem weird to u, but rules are in place to make everyone's experience enjoyable. I do not wrk for, or am I affiliated with Four Seasons in any way. I am simply a guest w/some past experiences. Where I happen to be at any given time is our home, or until our nxt job finds us in a new home. Ive always taken care of our home, so this is no exception.
Oh and one more thought/opinion...A family-owned park is much better than one owned by a corporation. Im sharing this bc once a corporation moves in, there are changes. It may seem at first, "better", but in the long-run, its like a super hero band-aid. It might look cool at first, but eventually like all bandages, it will deteriorate. My point? Help the family at Four Seasons to keep loving what they do. If u have issues w/anything Ive written... then we'll have to agree...
Read moreWe are here for the first time, just doing a short camp to see if this place is a good option for a seasonal next year. So far, we are having a great time. Beautiful drive in, only about 1/2 hour from Philly, 45 from the shore, and beautiful grounds. The transient sites are nice with new picnic tables and fire rings. A little tight pulling through the roads due to small trees. The seasonal sites all look amazing. Golf carts permitted. The campground feels very farmy and spacious, with large fields, similar to PA and NY campgrounds we have stayed in. You can tell it’s very homey and family owned here, which I love. The lake and beach are great- clean, convenient location to the pool and main office/Barn (food) with nice hammocks to relax in. Lots of shady areas on the beach perfect for babies and grandparents. We are headed to the pool next, which looked huge. UPDATE: the pool is HUGE bigger than my backyard and amazing!!! Bring your own chairs. Met some seasonal campers and everyone’s really nice. We haven’t checked out any public bathhouses and probably won’t, so I cannot speak for their cleanliness. Haven’t been bothered by any staff- and as always we respect quiet time and turn our music down at 11:00. We kept our fire going with low, low music and hung out with a few beers until 12:30 am last night without bothering neighbors. My only complaint is that the Barn (for lunch/dinner) is closed weekdays this year, so the campground is a little sleepy during the week. Not a bad thing that it’s weekday sleepy at all- you get the peace and seclusion that you don’t get while camping at the Jersey Shore. The office has a camp store with snacks, supplies, toys, and Turkey Hill hard ice cream for the kids. If you’re local and looking for an inexpensive “home away from home”, Four Seasons proves to be a great option. We work weekends as we own our own business and are in the infantile stage of not being able to get away from the shop without closing yet. I look forward to coming here next year (potentially as a seasonal camper) and experience the fun themed activities and liveliness the...
Read moreJust did 2 Nights this past weekend. Huge Campground which is nice to walk, the trade off it is a lot to maintain. And it shows in some areas.
The new pool is great. Next year after the landscaping grows in , it will be a great addition. Pond area is nice for swimming and fishing. playground is also quite large and updated which is nice to see. Most Campsites are large, some seasonal sites could be almost a 1/4 acre.. BIG!!.. We had 4 sites together with 3 other families and had a good time.
My only concerns with our sites were the Dead rotted tree stumps that are in the middle of some sites.. I know now is not the time to attend to these, but i hope in the off season they do. Also had 2 trees in the site that had large Tree Bees infested in them. right against the roadway, and with tons of kids riding and walking by it could be bad news..
Also in the off season they should really attend to some of the abandoned season sites... eye sores for everyone I'm sure. And some empty sites also appear to have not been used for years with growth over running them. Maybe they don't want to keep them as future sites because of maintenance, which i understand, but just looks bad in some places
The Water/Electric only Tent sites were MASSIVE. Biggest I've ever seen. If this is your thing, this is a great place for that. I did not peek in the bathrooms , sorry ..
Overall the staff was great, the ice cream was great, The Store, was well stocked.. the Cookies at check in are great!!. With the right sites this can be great campground. I will put this on my list of places to check on in a year or so to see how it...
