Slye Ranch — Hotel in Pilot Point

I called Lynn to inquire about rates for my 2 year anniversary. She was so helpful over the phone and suggested we stay in her new shipping container swanky cabin conversion. It sounded perfect so I booked it and that was just the beginning! Lynn helped me plan such a perfect weekend, she made sure that we knew of things to do in the area like horseback riding through the state park, and places to eat. She suggested that I send her pictures from the wedding that she could put up in the cabin and when we got there she even had designed a lavish charcuterie plate with a bottle of champagne to celebrate!

The converted shipping container could only be described as classy, chic and comfortable, with a fireplace, full kitchen, and very comfy bed. Huge windows look out onto the farm with friendly donkeys and a horse that get you in the morning asking for carrots (which are will stocked in the refrigerator). The top of the cabin is decked out (literally) with lounge furniture and a cafe table and chairs and the grounds are full of beautiful flowers and plants that Lynn cares for.

Lynn & Larry were the best hosts we could have ever asked for! From the moment I booked on-line, they were there to assist with any questions/concerns I had since our stay fell over the Covid pandemic. We felt confident we chose the perfect place and would be safe! As soon as we pulled in Cooper Can, we felt immediately relaxed and in love with what they created. You can tell how much love & time they have poured in creating a perfect little gem! Attention to detail, all the personal touches (a very special thank you for all the amazing breakfast goodies they provided from their local farm, Singleton Farms. Rex, their retired racing horse & two sweet donkeys were the icing on the cake-they left us treats to feed them and provided the perfect view to wake up to every morning. Last night was our first time staying at Slye Ranch, but it will not be the last! My family and I have traveled extensively all over the country and to many others as well and the service and hospitality you receive at this location rivals any we have experienced. The owner is extremely accommodating, welcoming, and kind. The location is beautiful and it is very close to many enjoyable activities. The food and drinks provided were delicious and the decor is so unique and charming. The beds were incredibly comfortable and we loved the outdoor sitting area on top of the ‘Copper Can’.
