Our 2nd year going since they moved the ETAR trad archery shoot from Denton Hill in Coudersport last year (I'd gone to Denton Hill for like the last 15 years or so?). We like the new location at Ski Sawmill. Even though it's more spread out than it was at Denton Hill, they have shuttles running constantly that don't cost anything to ride. This year there seemed to be a lot more people than last year, although I'm not sure if the number of vendors was the same as years past at Denton. The vendors are always great, and the ski patrol did a great job on the chicken dinner on Saturday afternoon (it was actually at noontime instead of 2:00 or whenever it used to be later in the afternoon, and we were pretty late because we didn't realize it was earlier this year and didn't get in line until 12:20 and they did not run out by the time we made it to the front of the line, which I was surprised since they usually run out pretty soon after they start selling it). Ski lifts aren't running yet, but maybe by next year? Great shoot, as always, but we do like the...
Read moreWe went there with a seven year old on March 3rd. We were never tubing before. The people working the tubing area were the worst. One little girl came unhooked on the way up. Instead of going to help her they told my older daughter to yell to her to walk down without stopping the tubes going up. She was afraid. They would not help he little ones get in the tubes and they took off without my little one even able to grab the handles. At the top no one helped the children get out of the tubes and others kept coming up knocking her down at the top and it was slippery. Did not even extend a hand. To go down, they were not communicating which lane could go so numerous were going down at the same time. They did not say lane one or lane two etc. Just you can go. She only went twice and was crying so we were done. It is a shame that workers like this can...
Read moreMy family went tubing at Ski Sawmill. It's the first time in forever that I've done anything like this due to me having MS. The personnel running the tubing run were amazing. My husband mentioned my disability letting them know I wasn't just being lazy by not getting in and out of the tube and someone assisting me and from there the tubing personnel were very understanding and helped every moment they had a chance. We travel often and usually I sit out of things since it is difficult for me without assistance and allot of people are not understanding of disabilities and make you feel like you are just being lazy or bothering them with needing assistance. My entire family had a great time and that is due allot in part to the great personnel. We will be coming...
