Gatlinburg Mansion — Hotel in Pittman Center

Sept/2020 stay. The panoramic views were amazing, that you could see from each level. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a nice size. Jacuzzi and fireplace in each room. The beds were comfortable. The game rooms on the second and third level were nice. I loved the air hockey table. The laundry room was a nice to have. The mansion was very spacious. The kitchen was huge and had enough appliances, utensils, dishes, pots and pans to accommodate everyone. But, there were problems that we considered major. There was a live mice in the bed, in the first floor bedroom, the one right off of the living room area. This had everyone on edge. The guest in that bedroom had to sleep in the living room because they were to scared and disgusted to continue sleeping in that bedroom. They brought multiple sticky traps the next day and caught the first mice that night. They got up enough nerve to move back in that night. Washed the sheets and blankets. However, they were soon force back out of that room, due to seeing another mice. The 2nd mice was caught that night on the rest of the sticky traps that was purchased by them. It is definitely a mice issue there, particularly in that room. The kitchen is on the same floor a few steps from that room. The company owner’s did have traps set but apparently they were not working. When do you determine that they are not working and you need to use something different. Unimpressed!!! Spending that type of money is definitely unacceptable to have an uncontrollable rodent problem. We know it’s apart of nature, but we will hold a restaurant to the same standards if we seen a mice running across the table or floors of a restaurant. There’s no excuse for this with the type of money that this business is racking in. WiFi was horrific, so we couldn’t use the Theater. Phone service was spotty. Speakers did not work on each level due to the WiFi. Not all the TV’s or cable worked in each room. When it rained the cable service went out on the TV’s that were working. Jacuzzi had some weird foam coming out of it. The pool table uneven, pocket had a hole and tips missing off the pool sticks, wear and tear definitely. It doesn’t have to be new but usable. Plumbing issues that caused the lower bathroom to take on water. New carpet is needed for the stairs. Floor panels/wood were missing throughout the house. The house could use some TLC. Definitely the stairs is a bummer. Elevator and swimming pool would have been perfect. Some up keep is definitely needed. If they fix these issues, this place would be top notch amazing. 5 stars for sure. I hope that someone adhere to the comments and choose to make...

This was a week that was supposed to be filled with excitement for my daughter and her fiance. They had picked this beautiful place as the setting for their wedding! We spent a lot of time, money, and effort in making this week special for them! It was just that, until the morning we left. We received a phone call from "Barb" stating that we had "stolen 7 of the dining room chairs, broken glass around the fire pit, stolen an ENTIRE bedding set..." The list goes on. Our entire family comes from a public safety background. We have professional firefighters, 911 dispatchers, police officers, and those that work for attorneys!! In addition, we had just recently received a cancer diagnosis in our family. This time away was much needed for all of us. Needless to say, her accusations turned a beautiful week into pure hell. After numerous accusations and refusing to allow us to speak to anyone above her, she states we won't be getting a refund of our deposit. I had left a comment in the guestbook stating that we couldn't wait to return. This is no longer the case. We will NEVER give our business to this despicable company again, and we will be sure to tell everyone we know about our experience, including the BBB, amongst others. In addition, the floors were coming up, the washing machines were filled with mold, many of the kitchen gadgets were broken and unusable....the list again, goes on. I would strongly advise anyone looking to stay here to take your...

In the past I would have rated the Gatlinburg Mansion the highest rating. This time I can't truthfully rate the mansion an excellent rating. One guest's bed was on the floor. Not on the frame. And all he was told was that a child must've jumped on it. There was no allowance for this guest having to sleep on a mattress and boxspring which was on the floor. Unacceptable!!! The washing machine on the bottom floor had mildew on the inside which the smell hits you in the face immediately when the door is opened. The grass had not been cut near the fire pit. And to mention another guest being biten by possible bed bugs. The company remedied that situation by bringing in a mattress cover which they left for the guest to put on herself. However they did not believe it was bed bugs that bit the guest by bringing in a dog that can sniff...
