Timber Wolf Lodge — Hotel in Pittman Center

Terrible place! Our group of 9 adults and 6 children were welcomed to a filthy cabin with mousetraps placed throughout the kitchen. The oven does not work and we had to try and bake our meals on the outdoor grill for our entire stay. Mgmt stated they would fix the problem or replace the oven during our 5 day stay but they did not.

Hot tub was unusable. The water was gross yellow and smelled 10 times worse than it looked.

The grill is bolted to the deck so you cannot move it and is too close to a wood pillar on the deck so there is burning and major charring on the pillar, a very dangerous fire hazard.

The property has a wonderful view and nice rocking chairs on the deck but unfortunately it is difficult to take in the view with the way the builders positioned the railing but unbelievable when you are standing.

The rugs had dog hair matted in them which barely looked like an old nonworking vacuum even touched them and years since the last steam clean.

Other than a few nice pieces of furniture, the entire property felt like and smelled like a party house that had hastily been cleaned prior to the parents getting home. Downstairs couches wreaked of cigarette smoke.

Other examples of disrepair: gate is broken to the property and one side of it is just pushed off to the side and sitting on the ground and old gross hot tub cover is sitting right next to hot tub instead of them throwing it away. What are these people thinking charging what they do per night and offering such subpar accommodations.

Downstairs bedroom with private bathroom has a horrible sewage smell all the time in the bathroom.

Appalling customer service. We asked for a resolution for the terrible accommodations and service and could not get a response for over two weeks. We are now forced to contest the charge with our credit card company. Shame on you Sun and Sky rentals and Timber Wolf Lodge.

Please find a better place to stay and do not waste your money here. We go to the Smokies every year and have never had poor accommodations until now. We will make sure we do not rent a property managed by Sun and Sky...

Let me be perfectly clear when I say that the drive up (and back down) the mountain to this place is absolutely terrifying, especially at night. Also, Google says you've reached your destination just a bit before you actually have. BUT the place is absolutely breathtaking. Nothing like I've ever seen in my life, truly. There's a loft, pool table, poker table, air hockey table, foosball table, shuffleboard, an amazing firepit, sitting areas, balconies, full kitchen, laundry, several rooms and bathrooms, hot tub. Absolutely worth being there, but prepare yourself for the drive. Also, do not leave food in your car. And lock your doors....
