I am an equestrian and have camped at Dru Barner many times and enjoyed its beauty. However, this time I was sorely disappointed with all the non equestrian campers using camp sites set up for horses with the pipe corrals and larger parking spaces for trailers when there were perfectly beautiful camp sites for non equestrian campers. They are using the pipe corrals to hang their hammocks in or set up their tents in! Also, extremely sad to see all the trash and abandoned vehicles along the trails and even a very large trashed rv in camp. I'm not sure if this is covid related or just a sign of our country falling apart, bit something...

Great location with plenty of nice, somewhat secluded spots. Close to trails. Wonderful, well-kept horse stalls & clean campsites with tables and fire pits with grills.

Would have been 5 stars were it not for the group a few sites down loudly partying literally all night and letting their dogs run freely around the campground. It isn't the fault of the campground directly, but they could definitely use a little enforcement up there. I probably could have gotten away with not even paying for my site if I was a less honest person. We never saw a park ranger or other admin the...

Quiet spot but not far from the Ranger station. Many campsites have well anchored metal corrals to confine your horses when you are not riding them along the Dru Barner trail or any of the other equine trails accessible from the campground. Vault toilets, fire rings, picnic tables and water are available. Surrounded by lots of tall trees but there is still a nice choice of shaded or more sunny campsite to choose from. Very cheap rates for what you get. IIRC $4 for overnight stays, $1.50 for day use. Federal Access pass or the like counts for the day use fee and halves the...
