Rollways Campground — Hotel in Plainfield Township

Memorial Day weekend 2019. I would give zero stars if I could! Wednesday May 22nd we went up to check the sites out and reserved a site. Paid for it and posted our tag like it said to do. Went back up the next night to set up and someone stole our site. STOLE IT!! We asked them what happen to the tag that was there and the said the man running it took it so we could stay on this site. Mind you the man running it said that man took it off and gave it to him.(2 different stories). Instead of him doing his job and saying that I’m sorry this site is reserved... please pick another one, he allowed it to happen! The entire campground was empty BTW. Except for our friend that set up next to where we WERE going to camp. That camper could have picked any other site, but showed his arrogance taking what he wanted. We then asked for our money back and no he can’t do a refund. He said I have to talk to the DNR to get a refund, by there’s no refunds. Then he tried giving us another site and it was our friends site 😂 I don’t know where they find these people but geesh come on. Let’s just say there’s no refund so we’re going to stay but this will be the last time. Mind you we stay there every year for the last 13 years. Not after this. Beware!!!! I would love to know if others have experienced the same issues or it’s just the new people running it this year. We will be contacting someone big in charge and I will tell everyone! This was a clean, quiet campground. The lots were spacious with a fire ring, picnic table and trash/lantern hangers. The inside lots can be reserved by phone for an additional $25 fee and the outside lots are first come for $15. The campground host will be around to explain that, trust me, so take an outside spot.||||There were clean vaulted toilets and water spigots, but no trash receptacles.||||There is a wide, flat trail to an overlook and stairs that lead to the river though it's not a desirable...

Stayed here for July 4, 2025. This was a very nice and quiet campgrounds. Hope was an awesome campground host. She was very informative and knew the area well. The campgrounds are very clean and well taken care of. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will now .making sure this one is added to our favorites list. We would recommend this campgrounds. Not crowded, small but and peaceful. This Army veteran enjoyed staying here. Will be back again. THANKS AND SHOUT OUT TO HOPE, our camp host!!! Keep up the great...
