We unfortunately had a house fire. Both my insurance company ( Homesite ) & the Red Cross recommended the Green Roof Inn because they are one of the few in the area that took pets. The staff has been exceptional.
Basically we are in a one bedroom apartment. The living room and kitchen are one large room that I would estimate is 30 x 12 & there is a separate bedroom that is close to 12 x 12. The separate bathroom is at least 8 x 12 & the utility room that even includes washer and dryer hook ups is close to 12 x 8.
The apartment is relativley spacious for a one bedroom & comes completely furnished including a full sized refrigerator / freezer, microwave, oven with 4 burners & cutlery / silverware, fold out couch & reclining chair.
Room / maid service is prompt and will work on a schedule ( 2 to 5 times a week ) to clean the room. The only caveat being they require the room to be vacated of tenants to secure the safety of the employees.
This hotel accepts pets with a fee and damage waiver. We are currently here with our cat, courtesy of the fire. The rate, as of writing ( December 2017 ) is $67.50 per night with a pet. It should be noted they don't just accept dogs but do take cats also.
They do have extended rates available from weekly to monthly but you should expect to pay more during hunting / fishing season & the summer in general. Management is super nice. A chain hotel would cost at least $60 per night and the Green Roof Inn, for the price, is an exceptional value, especially since they take pets.
There is also a free breakfast from 8 am to 11 am available, the cable service is expanded basic & the internet is about 5Mbps down & up so its also passable, In fact we are currently watching movies on 2 Roku's that I had previously & hooked up to the TV's in the living room & bedroom.
TLDR: The furnished Apartment is great for the price ( $70 ) They take pets, Quiet area, Great for hunter's or Fishermen, I90 is close, Staff is awesome, Free breakfast, decent internet, Red Cross recommended , Weekly & Monthly rates who could...
Read moreRecently stayed at Green Roof Inn during a fishing trip in the area. While the rooms and decor are a bit dated, they were spacious and comfortable. Greatly appreciated the fact that they have a kitchenette complete with microwave, stove, toaster, refrigerator and full sized coffee pot. Our stay included a selection of simple breakfast foods which included bagels, bread, sweet rolls and similar items. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, courteous and helpful. There was ample parking available. Layout was much like your traditional motel, with all rooms on the ground floor and all rooms opening onto the parking lot. The entry to the rooms seemed to be handicap accessible, but our bathroom really wasn't. Recommend contacting the hotel in advance to confirm whether they have any rooms that are fully handicap-accessible. As an added note, the Inn actually has two buildings which are a short distance apart by car. When you reserve your room, be sure to confirm which building you are in and, if reserving more than one room, make sure that your rooms are in the same building if that's important...
Read moreComing to the area for a fishing trip we really wanted something that had a home feel that when we came back we could really relax and enjoy ourselves. I had looked all over the place and through another website for a fishing Charter we planned to use they recommended The Green Roof Inn.
We didnt know what to expect but what we got was most certinaly more. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it was by far one, if not, the best places we have stayed in for a trip. The price was amazing espcially after getting the apartment. It was spacious and had a small home feel. Stocked with some accessories for cooking and full fridge to stock up and it was incredibly clean!
On top of it the staff were also friendly and helpful.
We have already recommended this place to friends who may be interested in a trip out that way and i know for sure, our next trip back we know where we will be staying!
Thank you for the...
