Oak Haven Vineyard and Inn — Hotel in Plattsmouth

This review is NOT about the location itself. Unfortunately, I have not been to this location. I attempted to call, email, and Airbnb message this business for a glamping stay. After over a week of no return communication (from call/email), I used the Airbnb messaging feature. Herb’s return communication was less than tactful, kind, or respectful. For glamping, the verbiage was somewhat confusing in regards to renting both tents versus one. If you rent one, the other is blocked off. So I tried to negotiate a discounted price for the other tent to include that in the stay since they wouldn’t be receiving income from the unused tent anyway if we didn’t rent it. Herb’s communication with me lacked patience and respect. He could’ve easily respectfully declined my attempted negotiation, and instead, blocked me and my friend from reserving that weekend with the response that “it is very simple, you reserve both.” I found Herb’s communication and actions regarding our conversation rude and petulant. Had Herb chosen to be more understanding, there is a chance we would’ve rented both tents. So instead of receiving 75-100% of what the booking would’ve earned the business, It is now receiving 0%. I’m sure someone else will book this same weekend, Herb made it clear he doesn’t NEED the business. It’s just very unfortunate that what looks to be such a beautiful site is owned and managed by someone who doesn’t feel it’s necessary to communicate with others in a mutually...

The glamping tents were exactly the place we were looking for to quite stay. It is the perfect mix of tent camping in nature with solitude but with all the amenities of electricity, bed off the ground, coffee, firewood, outdoor shower, ect. Herb gave a brief but detailed tour of the space with where to find everything and how everything works.
