This is a great campground if you want to be close to the historic sites in Plymouth, it is only about a five minute drive. Check-in was easy; you get a key card to access the gate. However, getting to my campsite in the rear of the property was quite confusing. The map that they give you looks real nice but it is not accurate at all. The streets on the map do not line up with the true streets. I would not like to show up in the dark. The camp store was nice and stocked with everything you would need. There is a big room where you can play board games or read a book, a pool table, air hockey and some other kid’s type of electronic games. It was a little bit of a pain doing laundry because there isn’t a change machine at the laundry facility. I went to the office in inquire and they sent me to the lodge. The machine only takes $1’s and $5’s. Once back at the laundry, the laundry machines performed well. The negatives I want to note about this location is there is a shooting range very close where they shoot large caliber ammo and it starts early and goes late. There is also an airport very nearby, so you will hear that. At the end of our stay, I used the dump and it could use some attention with the hoses, the two hoses available did not have usable ends on them in order to connect to flush. I did enjoy the great wi-fi. When I saw that I was camping in a pretty isolated spot toward the back, I thought the wi-fi wouldn’t be that good but it actually was.

Pinewood Lodge is a really great place to camp. I've stayed here in a tent as well as in a camper, both sites were very nice, buggy as can be expected. There are a few areas with playgrounds and rec for kiddos. The function room is highly overpriced from what I'm told, they want $6,000 per event. As far as using it for everyday recreation it is a nice space, they have a pool table though it is not well kept. The view is very nice from the deck for a picnic or a game. The only dismay I have about the campground is that the pond is highly overgrown with eutrophication which makes it less desirable to use for swimming, I would recommend water shoes at all times and some type of flotation device that you can lean on like a boogie board so your feet don't have to touch the muck. The sand beach is a nice spot to read a book and enjoy the sun. Other than that Pinewood is in a great location near restaurants, markets, the beach and very close to downtown Plymouth which is beautiful.

Quite literally one of the worst campgrounds we have ever been to. We are avid campers, camped at MANY campgrounds especially local to this area. This campground is by far the worst one we have been at. The grounds are beautiful and it has ALL RHE POTENTIAL! But the rules area ridiculous and the activities are subpar! if you have dogs and plan to bring them jsut know you can’t bring them ANYWHERE! So many dog restricted areas which is jsut about everywhere they have family activities. So you will be leaving your dogs in the camper or cabin the entire time. I understand not allowing them on the beach, but at the pavilion where all the activities are seems dramatic. And no one could give us real or legitimate reason. The activities for kids are subpar compared to other campgrounds and the staff is soooo rude. Didn’t meet a single staff member that seemed happy to working there and they had attitude with everything. They advertised a karaoke night and then shut it down after 3 songs and basically turned our young children away making them cry. Also watched the girl running that completely scream at some kids for running in the lodge. Totally understand having rules and not allowing kids to run around but you run a family campground, compassion and kindness goes a long way. It appears these people HATE CHILDREN and don’t want them in their presence. I have never seen such a negative more miserable staff than this place. BEWARE THIS IS NOT A FAMILY CAMPGROUND, if you have children DO NOT GO HERE!! The time we went they also said no campfires for the whole weekend due to dry woods. I get it but also it’s camping ppl expect to have campfires additionally other campgrounds in the area were allowing campfires. These ppl buckle and dime you do everything. They only care about the money and not about providing you a fun family experience. I will never camp here again. Some better plymouth options are Sandy pond campground or Ellis haven campground. Honestly anything is better than this Campground. Again it has all the potential but they just don’t put the effort in. The only effort they put in is trying to make money from campers anywhere they can. They don’t try to make it fun for the money you already pay to go here, the staff is rude and miserable as if they have no desire to work here. And they are very strict when it comes to dogs...

My family and I have been coming to Pinewood Lodge for several years now and have always loved it. We are life long campers and have always looked forward to camping at Pinewood year after year, especially our children. We camp with multiple families with lots of young children running around and enjoying the playgrounds and festivities. I am not sure what happened this year but the staff was absolutely ATROCIOUS. They were so incredibly rude and abrasive from the moment we checked in and all throughout our stay. Driving around in their golf courts enforcing their laundry list of rules in such a gross, rude manner. Specifically for us, it was about our fire before it was even time to be put out and harassing us about quiet hours before it was even quiet time. During one incident, two men in a golf cart came to our site about our fire during the afternoon with our children present. They approached us immediately yelling at us, getting right in my brother in laws face with finger pointed about not following their rules and threatening to force us all to leave. I absolutely got the impression from their insanely aggressive manner that they wanted to provoke a physical altercation. I have never been so shocked. It was so incredibly uncomfortable and infuriating and it left us adults feeling so angry and our children feeling scared. We proceeded to go to the office and speak to the manager about this particular staff member but the damage was done. All our children had trouble sleeping after that, afraid "those bad men" were going to come back and yell at us and/or kick us out. What kind of family campground is this?! These men used their upper hand of being able to make guests follow their laundry list of rules or be removed to the highest degree when it was not even warranted. It was absolutely gross and terribly sad. Needless to say, we will never, ever, return to this place. And we will be sure to spread this word to all our family and friends and fellow campers we meet along the way. We will gladly take our hard earned money and spend it somewhere else were the staff knows how to conduct themselves like adults, treat their guests like they are welcome and most importantly, where our children will feel and be safe. Shame on you Pinewood! Get a grip...

We have been coming to Pinewood for short stays (10 days or less) for about 7 years. This year we decided to stay for most of the summer with our sweet dog since this is the place we feel most comfortable, just the camping experience we want, compared to all others we have visited. |We have never encountered a rude or unfriendly staff member; in fact, it's the opposite. We had a water leak when we opened up this summer. Jeff was amazing, got to us quickly, calmed our nerves, found the issue, had the part, fixed it in a short time so we could enjoy our camping. The ladies in the front office are always so helpful and kind. The staff in the lodge are also always smiling and helpful. |We loving bringing our dog as there are many areas to walk her and they have a great dog park that is always clean. I believe the only areas where dogs are not allowed are on the beach (reasonable due to health concerns), the areas where there are cabins/yurts, and at/in the Lodge. But there are so many other areas in the 200 acres to walk our fur baby! |The lodge has a huge game room with a pool table, air hockey and snack bar. Great for rainy days. The owners have put so much into improving the grounds. The pavilion was also recently improved; they have live music and activities throughout the season. The themed weekends are super fun. I love the adult only crafting classes that I wish they had more of. There is a great beach and pond for catch and release fishing, kayaking, canoeing, rowboats or swimming. The lodge is fully stocked with so much! You can grab your firewood, propane, groceries or even just a delicious ice cream! (Don't forget the merch!)|Our stay was so great this summer that we are going to do the same next year. We highly recommend this...
