The Inn at Water's Edge is a magical place! I organized a friends weekend as a pre-wedding celebration for my sister and her fiancé with 21 guests. We were able to rent out all of the rooms for our stay, and it was unforgettable! Mitch and Joel are fantastic innkeepers. Joel made it so easy to communicate about details prior to the weekend. Mitch is an extremely talented chef - he uses fresh and creative ingredients, and we were raving about his food all weekend. The bedrooms, bathrooms and common spaces at the Inn are all so clean and beautiful, with lots of stylish and unique touches. The Inn has all of the coziness of a quintessential VT Inn paired with contemporary style. Our group loved gathering in the bar area in the evenings, with plenty of space to mingle and play board games. The outdoor space is also lovely! There is a short path to Echo Lake behind the Inn, and our party enjoyed the lake access to the fullest. We swam, used kayaks/canoes, and relaxed on the dock and in the comfy Adirondack chairs. Mitch and Joel are such gracious hosts, and we were grateful for their warm personalities and attentive service! I would recommend this Inn to anyone who is looking for an exceptional stay in VT.

We rented out the Inn at Water's Edge from Thursday - Sunday for an intimate destination wedding! Our guests stayed onsite at the Inn. We all had breakfast each morning together and had a rehearsal dinner and reception dinner in the dining room! The ceremony took place by the lake! Everything was absolutely perfect! Joel was so incredible to work with during the planning process and provided premium hospitality to us and our guests during our stay! Mitch prepared the most delicious meals for both breakfast and our dinners! The drinks at the bar were delicious and the pub/family room made for an incredible place for cocktail hour! I couldn't have asked for a more cozy, welcoming, intimate setting to get married! Joel, Mitch, and Connie made the experience even better by being the most gracious hosts!I would recommend this experience to anyone that wants a small, sweet Vermont wedding!

We just returned home from a relaxing, long weekend at the Inn, and it was such a great experience that we are already planning our next stay. Joel and Connie were such great hosts, they both took the time to get to know us, and share stories, and made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying every part of our stay. We loved chatting with both of them. The drinks, breakfast, and coffee were SO good! Also the cookies! Our room was perfect and extremely cozy. We loved hanging out in the bar area and chatting, and Joel even started a fire for us. The breakfasts were so good that my husband and I ordered the sweet and savory option to share each morning. We love visiting inns and this is the best experience that we have had in 14 years of traveling around together. We cannot wait to come back!

During our extended weekend stay at the Inn at Water's Edge in Vermont, we experienced nothing short of perfection. We were there to celebrate a truly special occasion – my daughter’s wedding – and the Inn provided the ideal setting for such a memorable event.||||From the moment we arrived, Joel, the owner and host, welcomed us with warmth and graciousness that made us feel right at home. His attention to detail and genuine care for his guests set the tone for an exceptional stay. Joel’s dedication to ensuring everything ran smoothly was evident throughout the weekend. He effortlessly balanced being a consummate professional and a friendly presence, which added a personal touch to the experience.||||A special mention must go to Mitch, the chef, whose culinary talents left us in awe. Every meal was a masterpiece, from the perfectly prepared breakfasts to the elegant dinners. Mitch’s creativity and passion for cooking shone through in every dish, each one thoughtfully crafted with fresh, local ingredients. The food was so incredible that it became one of the highlights of our weekend.||||The Inn itself is a gem – charming, cozy, and immaculately maintained. The picturesque surroundings of Vermont provided the perfect backdrop for the wedding, with stunning views that added to the beauty of the event. The staff’s attention to detail, from the impeccably clean rooms to the seamless coordination of the wedding day, ensured that everything was flawless.||||This was not just a stay; it was an unforgettable experience. Joel, Connie and Mitch, along with the entire team at the Inn at Water’s Edge, went above and beyond to make my daughter’s wedding weekend extraordinary. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a meaningful milestone. Thank you for making our weekend...

The inn is amazing and the owners are extremely gifted and I want to go back! From the first time we arrived at the inn, we were greeted with kindness and hospitality. The inn is beautiful and meets the needs of all traveling guests. We were traveling with a large group of family members so we took up every room. The inn allows for as much family time as we wanted with a big open space to congregate, play games, eat snacks, and spend quality time together. The inn also features little private spots to step away from the family for some alone time. The physical aesthetic of the inn is wonderful, but you can see that from the picture. What you can't see from the pictures are the very talented team that runs the place. Joel and Mitch are truly what sets this inn apart from others! Joel made everyone feel welcome and was so accommodating. He has a natural ability to connect with people and ensured that we had a great time....now on to the food! I have never tasted food as good as the food that Mitch prepared for us. He is a master in the kitchen and we reaped the benefits of his tasty food all weekend. ||We enjoyed making smores by the lake, kayaking, playing scrabble, sitting by the fireplace, playing darts, and many other activities. We kept saying all weekend that it is hard to put our experience into words because it was so wonderful. I hope this review will encourage others to book a weekend at the inn. I promise you will not regret it. We can't...

Reviewed yesterday Where do I begin?!! We (19 of us )just got back from a 2 night stay at this beautiful INN! I began looking for a place for the family to stay at to help celebrate my 50th. I came across the INN @ Water’s Edge. Starting reading the reviews and immediately showed my Wife and Sister and we booked the entire INN. I received the confirmation and the emails immediately started coming from the Inn Keeper Joel and Chef Mitch asking how they could assist us with every last detail. Mitch called me a few days later and we started planning out our Dinner I wanted to have for all 19 family members. He literally jumped through hoops for us. Dairy free / Gluten free (not a easy task). Every course of the meal was Phenomenal. Kale soup/ seared scallops/ roasted chicken/ trout / right down to mango curd dessert. AMAZING !!! And the breakfast buckwheat pancakes/ fresh eggs/ 2 types of bacon. He’s a true talent Now we can’t forget about Joel (Inn Keeper ) a true asset to the INN. He as well sent me numerous emails asking about every detail that we needed. He asked about type of Liquor we would like to have just so he can have the Beautiful!! Bar stocked to our likings and boy he did not disappoint. A few days prior to our arrival Joel/ Mitch sent me yet another email this...More Date of stay:...
