Super cozy and clean, but....... Found the campgrounds to be very nice. Very well shaded. Facilities are clean. However, I would not recommend this for families with children that like to do outdoor activities. They have very strict rules and it feels more like a retirement campgrounds. The pool closes at 5p on weekdays and 7p on weekends. Very strictly enforced. Also, it is locked all times and you must have two people to get the key (even if you are an adult). If you plan to do day activities away from camp, you will not be able to use the pool. Plus, the pool is not heated. With all the shade, it stays cold. If you are looking for a KOA type experience, it's not going to satisfy. The staff patrols the campground as well on 4 wheelers. Kind of makes you feel like you are under surveillance all the time. One day I had a staff member walking up the side of my camper where our windows are. Our blinds were up to allow light in. I noticed him when I exited the camper and I startled him. Might have been reading the meter or something but didn't feel like that. Other than a couple staff members, the rest were super nice and friendly. It's very quiet, not many people out. Most sites are filled, but still feels like a ghost town.

I do not own an RV nor am I a camper. Stayed with family who own a 32' tow behind after a visit to Kalahari. The location is great, but the lots are narrow and the turns seem tight. The grounds were clean and bathroom/shower facilities were too. There is also a laundry room and a small store for basic items. Pool was not open yet, but it is on the smaller side. Pool depth ranges from 3 feet to 7 feet deep. There is also a small hot tub. There are 2 horseshoe pits and 2 lanes of shuffle board. There is a small area for kick ball I guess. Can't see it being for baseball or softball since the outfield portion is close to the road. Kids play area has enough to keep them busy for a while. Saw a bunch of kids on bicycles and very little car traffic so it seemed pretty safe. None of the roads except for the one entering the property are paved, so scooter riding is possible just very limited. If I was an RV'er, my rating might be a little lower. Coming from someone who does not camp at all in any form; my rating might be a little low. Just giving my honest perspective.

This is a quaint little campground. Five minutes from Great Wolf Lodge. This is the place that you would like to go to get away from everything for a weekend or however long. They staff was great. They were very helpful. There are onsite showers in two separate buildings open 24 hours. The lots are decent sized with tables, fire rings and hook ups. We didn't get a chance to visit the local state parks and lakes that were highly recommended. We will the next time we visit this campground. I think that anyone who visits this site would be satisfied. If you want quiet and want to lay back...you can do it here. If you want to use this as a base and go shop at the nearby outlet mall or do the other things already mentioned...you can do that as well. Enjoy

That was THEN: The bathrooms couldn't be cleaner, the pool couldn't be any more sparkling, the people - staff AND regulars - couldn't have been nicer! Peaceful, relaxing, good location for exploring the area. Thoroughly enjoyable extended weekend! This is NOW: I posted the above about 4 years ago, (and gave them 5 stars!) and since it was such a pleasant experience, we always wanted to circle back around and stay again. We finally got the chance, but unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed and most likely will not be returning. I've been camping my entire life and sometimes you get the impression that the seasonal folks aren't thrilled with the weekenders that come and go, but this is the first time I can honestly say that the seasonals *some * completely ruined our stay. We had an unfortunate site that backed up to a seasonal in an odd perpendicular way so that when I stepped out my camper door onto my patio rug, the neighbor's patio was immediately to my right about 8 ft away. Sometimes you get a lousy site, it happens, but you make do, right? Unfortunately, residing there were 2 dogs that barked continually at us. The owner did make some attempt to do something about it, but that something was to yell at and scold them. So we mostly got barking/yelling/barking/yelling. The owners sometimes vacated the site and locked them up in the camper where - you guessed it - the dogs barked and whined continuously. Across the street was a seasonal site with a cage, yes, a CAGE, where he kept a couple of dogs who barked non-stop. All. Day. Long. Apparently this guy's adult son also stays with a dog in yet another permanent site, and he routinely walked it over to the cage each morning EARLY and put his dog in there with the others so it can join the barkfest. Occasionally, these owners would holler at their dogs which really just added to the constant annoyance, but mostly they just sat there in their ignorance or indifference and did nothing. Immediately next to that circus is another seasonal who thinks it's perfectly fine to blast their music well into the night and subject everyone around them to it in the process. I have never witnessed so much complete inconsideration toward other campers as I had on this weekend. Don't misunderstand, I appreciate that they are dog-friendly. We are NOT anti-dog. We have a dog. As a matter of fact, we have ALWAYS had canine family members who go with us everywhere, but they are always trained and well-behaved. And in general, given the sometimes tight confines and "invisible walls" when camping, we always try to to be considerate of our neighbors. That concept is completely lost here. If you don't mind a constant barrage of noise, barking, yelling, and stereos all being carried out with a "quiet hour be damned" attitude, then this is the place for you. We spent alot of time taking walks or sitting by the pool or hanging at the sports field simply to get away from the chaos surrounding our site. We spent alot of money for a campsite we largely avoided. We didn't bother complaining to the office because, let's face it, seasonals are the bread and butter here, who's going to give a hoot about the concerns of someone who is staying for 3 nights and then leaving? So we endured and then we left, with a completely new perspective of Four Seasons. It's a real shame too because the facilities, the pool, the play areas and available sports recreation are still great and the staff and grounds people are very, very nice! And there were plenty of other seasonal folks we met on the other side of the campground that were perfectly lovely. But the management/owners here have the occupants of #11, 12, 34 & 35 completely to thank for...

If you enjoy barking dogs, loud people and blasting music, second hand smoke and gruff management this is your paradise! We really hate to give bad reviews, and honestly never do, however, this was so unpleasant we feel the need to share so you don't make the mistake we did by staying here. Let's start with the "good" which we are hard pressed to find. Cable tv was good, and the large bundle of very dry wood also. |The entry is gated -"push the button for service" and our query "Do you have a site for the nite" - GRUFF REPLY "DO YOU HAVE A RESERVATION?" Really? why would we be asking IF A SITE IS AVAILABLE IF we had a reservation?|After a very long day of travel a quick, friendly check in is always welcome. That DID NOT happen here. There also was no information shared about location etc. of "amenities". We inquired about wifi and told a simple "YES" there is, however had to ask again for info on accessing. Wifi turned out to be useless as no matter what time of day we could not access. We also inquired of veteran discount, and were told "Veteran/Senior gets you nothing!! (isn't that a fact!) Take NOTE management - There is a LOT of competition in campgrounds - A simple pleasant reply "Thank you for your service, but apologies we don't offer a discount" would have been a much nicer reply. That rude comment alone would give us a bad feeling about ever returning.|Sites were squeezed in like packaged hot dogs affording absolutely no privacy. We did not use the bathroom/shower facilities as were never shown where they were, however, likely would not have used them anyway after seeing the entire place as very unkept and dirty - The pool water was a putrid green ... awful! |We have travelled much in our class B camper and found many pleasant, comfortable campgrounds with friendly people this was NOT...

We have friends who have been seasonals here for several years and would visit them occasionally. It didn't take us look to become regular campers here. With many years of camping behind us, we have never seen cleaner grounds, restrooms or campstore. The owners always have a greeting and smile for everyone and it is a pleasure dealing with the staff. The children enjoy using the sporting equipment and games available for borrowing. The playground is great and the sports field are huge. We had a blast at Bingo, the regulars could not have been any friendlier. Another plus is hand-dipped ice cream, so good and so many flavors. This campground is gated, we like the security that it provides. I am shaking my head about the previous review. Maybe she got up on the wrong side of the bed. We will definitely return!

An update to my previous review....Four Seasons Campgrounds is still a regular stop for us. The friendliness of the owners and staff make you want to come back. They can accommodate larger RV's, our 42' RV has plenty of room entering the security gate, traversing the roads and settling in at a large, nicely spaced site. The restrooms and grounds are immaculate. I believe that they are strict about check-in times as they don't want RV's trying to find their site in the dark, and the escort is off duty then. We do miss the usual full schedule of activities, but respect the campground's decision to be part of the solution to the pandemic. We always look forward to the time we spend at this quiet, family...
