We stayed at the Polson MotorCoach Resort for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing time there. For check in, they escort you to your site first and after you get settled, head up to the KOA office just up the hill to check in. Found all staff to be pleasant and professional and worked with me when I had a special circumstance come up.
The park is beautifully landscaped, the sites spaced nicely and level with a great view of the mountains and lak. After months on gravel, it was really nice to have pavement and grass. Not all sites are created equal and depend on the owners for the amenities. We happened to get booked on a basic site with a gravel pad and a picnic table with an umbrella. If you want more and there is availability, you can get outdoor kitchens, bbqs, concrete pads, outdoor furniture, better landscaping, etc. but be prepared to pay more for it. We liked our basic site.
The people in the park were very nice and personable giving it a relaxed feel. The amenities were good with nice bathrooms and the dog park was small but had grass! The laundry room had only 2 washers and 2 dryers but you have access to the KOA facilities which had much more. The utilities were good and WiFi was better than average. Had very good signal strength for Verizon and T-Mobile. The park was generally quiet although it is next to an airport – no issues as they took off and landed at reasonable times during the day. The park is close to town without being in town. Lastly, if you are looking for a bargain to stay here, you should look elsewhere. You get what you pay for. Would definitely consider staying here again...
Read moreThis is a warning to those considering making a reservation. It concerns details they provide regarding CANCELLATIONS, and return of deposit monies. In this area of Montana, with proximity to Canada and the inevitable yet unknown date of border reopening, many people's plans are understandably a bit uncertain. Because of this, I am very careful to note cancellation policies. After spending a lot of time with their reservation people on the phone, I learned the cancellation had to be done at least 1 week before arrival date for refund. Perfect for my plans, so I proceeded with reservation. Then spent more time with them, including sending them pictures of my rig- which they approved. More time with providing all billing info etc... and then, just as I was about to hang up phone, I decided to confirm and verify one last time their cancellation policy...because it involved potentially OVER 500.00, deposit to LOSE. Much to my shocking surprise, this woman now CONTRADICTED the previous woman that I spoke with and says that I MUST CANCEL 2 WEEKS before arrival to get deposit back. Today already is LESS than 2 weeks!!!! What this means simply is that IF I had failed to double check, and ask that second time, and I had needed to cancel, I would have been out $500 if I provided them 1...
Read moreI am surprised to see so many glowing reviews. I was not as impressed as others. We made our reservations 6 months in advance and were given a gravel lot on the lower tier (maybe I didn't book soon enough). The lower tier has a great view of the mountains in the afternoon but, a less than stellar view of the lake (no big deal I guess). Across the street from the lower tier is an active runway. Very busy at 6am (I think this might bother some people who are light sleepers) a few days per week (consistent over the 3 weeks we stayed). Pool and clubhouse stuff is shared with the KOA (at this price, a Class A motor coach resort ought to have its own amenities (IMHO). Advertised as the nicest resort in Montana. Maybe, but, we stayed at several places, including KOAs that were just as nice for $40 per night less and...
