Had a great day boating on the river with family. Meant some nice friends on an sandy beach up the peace river somewhere. Kids swam. Did some fishing and swimming . Yes there's gators keep your witts and swim in groups . Stay where you can touch and current is strong and sunny areas with good boat traffic. Beautiful area. Campground had nice pool area 2 pools and a jacuzzi, nice clean showers, good boat ramp, and laid back atmosphere.Highly recommend this campground if your looking to do some boating in the fresh part of the peace river. Not to far from the salt either though.

We stayed at Riverside RV Resort for two nights in November 2019 and it was wonderful. We had great weather, our site was awesome. The park is incredibly dog friendly with a totally fenced dog park. We saw multiple people walking their dogs at a time. I think most of the people in the park are full timers but everyone we talked to was extremely nice. The staff were so helpful and eager to please. This resort is a bit pricey but the sites are level and large. The resort is beautiful and well-kept, we would love to come back. They also have pretty decent wifi! That is a huge plus.

This was our first, ever stay in an RV Resort of this size. We were escaping extreme southern snow and ice the third week in January 2025 by traveling to Southern Florida. We usually boondock with little to nothing around, so this was different for us. The RV community was incredibly friendly. The check in process was simple even coming in shortly after hours. There was a lot of activities for everyone if they wanted. And there were a lot of amenities. We simply enjoyed the nice weather and peacefulness after visiting friends in the area.

We stayed at Riverside for just over 2 months last winter. The prices are a little high but they don't meter electric for longer stays like most do (edit: Encore just bought Riverside so that may change), just set your trash bags at the curb each morning and they pick it up, free poop bags and containers throughout the park for your pets, pu, refill, and return propane tanks to your site at very reasonable prices, and a lot more to try and make your stay pleasurable. We stayed in the older side of the park that has a lot more tree cover, which we prefer, but we also had no problems finding a place for our DirecTV dish to get a clear sightline. Sites in the newer side of the park are pricier still, but come with cable tv/internet and are much larger, large grassy areas surrounding the site as well as numerous ponds with fountains. The downside to those is that they are in full sun and tend to be much more windy. All sites are close to, if not level and drain well during rains. Streets are all paved and more than wide enough for even the largest of RV's to maneuver into and out of the park. Facilities are numerous, clean, and we did not run into one grumpy soul. Wifi in the park was sketchy at best and because we were in the older side of the park, we only had access to a DSL connection from Centurynet. Although a bit pricey because we were month to month, it was a quality 10 MB connection that had no problems streaming Netflix, playing the XBox, or anything else we needed it to do and we were able to save our mobile data for other things. They also had local seafood and vegetable vendors there once a week. Although the park is in a country setting, there is a super Walmart and numerous other stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. just 4 miles down the road around the I-75 interchange and a bit further down the road is the city of Port Charlotte where just about anything you require is easily acquired. There is even a vet hospital barely a mile away for your furry companions. We have Verizon and 4G cell service throughout the park was great. It also appears that T Mobile has a tower close by but can't speak to the quality of service. We loved it so much, we already have our reservation in for this winter for 3+ months this time around. During the prime winter months (Nov-April) the park does tend to cater to the snowbirds and many are yearly returnees that have been coming there for years and years. During this time as well, they don't allow tent camping and tend to give preference to longer staying guests over those that just want a few days/weeks but there always seems to be a few sites open at one time or another for those just passing thru. If during your stay, you become bored, it is your own fault! Can't wait to...

I love this place been going here since I was 5 years old when it wasn't even called riverside. My complaints are, 1. They seem to care more about the snowbirds than the campers anymore. They took the game room away just so the snowbirds can have mailboxes. Just go to the post office. I get the snow birds are here 5-6 months out of the year. Yet you tell campers we can't camp here because they don't want campers disturbing them. By the time camping season starts they should be gone. 2. I have signal all throughout the area except once I get in here. I understand its the middle of no where but the second I turn into here I have no service. They put cell blockers up so you have to pay for their WiFi. Which I won't. Their prices per night are a bit high. But it's worth the...

Wife and I spent the winter of 2017 /2018 in Florida. This RV park was the nicest park we've stayed at. The staff was outstanding, the residence, most of who reside in the park during the winter season, we're very friendly. They had a wonderful Christmas dinner potluck which everyone in the park was invited to. We stayed in this park three times during our Florida stay. I would stay in this park anytime. motorhome or fifth wheel parking is very easy. The only thing I didn't like, was their WiFi system. First time we were there it was not working well. To the credit of the staff, they knew about the problem and got it fixed. The park is very clean, It's a good-looking Park, and I think anyone would enjoy...
