We stayed in Site 3 at the beginning of August 2025. Site 3 is the one furthest inside, closest to the walkway to the bay. The view is absolutely gorgeous on the walkway/dock. When you are walking out on it there's just nothing like it. This is what would make us want to stay again. However, there are some cons to the campsite area itself. Many might be small things and not issues for most but just wanted to give a realistic review of things we liked/disliked. First thing I want to mention is that the checkout time is the worst. 10 AM is ridiculous for an RV site. I gave feedback to the company as well, so maybe they will get the hint and change it as I am not the first person to say this. They rent condos out and so they just keep the same messaging for all their properties. This is why the checkout is at 10 AM, but at an RV site, especially this one, no one is cleaning or maintaining the site in between bookings. It should really be adjusted to 1 PM like most other campgrounds and state parks. The checkout time is what makes me not want to book again. Perhaps others just ignore it and don't leave at 10, but we like to follow rules if we can and so we were up and out of there as close to 10 as possible and it sucked. Sites are nice and easy to get into as you just pull through. There is no gate for the entrance, so I was curious as to how they monitor that random people don't just set up camp, but it was also nice that there wasn't a code you had to use to get in since we came in later at night around 7-8 PM. Although the sites are larger, they are still close to each other so there isn't a lot of room for tow vehicles or other vehicles to park unless you park in the loop or are up against the next person's vehicle. This wasn't a problem for us, but I just wanted to mention it as someone did visit the people camping next to us while we were there and it made me realize how little room there was for parking since they were right up against our vehicle. When booking, we were excited about having the brick paver patio, but it ended up being useless for us because the hookups are on the back left of the site when pulling in and the brick paver patio is on the top right. We have an awning that comes off our RV and because of the way the hookups are, we couldn't pull up far enough to have the awning come out over the brick paver patio. This might not be an issue for most people but we didn't have really long cords/tubes for the hookups so that was sort of disappointing. Trash comes on Saturdays and Mondays. Trash truck comes in hot lol. They about gave my 1 year old a heart attack as they zoomed around the loop after getting the trash. Nothing you can really help with that, but it was just a surprise. As expected, bugs are pretty bad. Make sure to bring lots of bug spray. Yellow flies, horse flies, and noseeums were the worst offenders. (This was the case when we visited in August 2025) It's around 4-5 miles to town stuff; almost 7 miles to the public beach access that has pretty water (like Destin iykyk). Definitely visit Cape San Blas Coffee and Ice Cream. The iced caramel latte is yum. Their breakfast sandwiches were also great, and they sell Blue Bell ice cream so you can't go wrong there. The public beach access we went to...
