This is such a wonderful area that takes you back to "Old Florida" with the eclectic camps and houses, the laid back lifestyle and peaceful vibe. We love the palms, pines and oaks sharing the coastal areas and the beach is open to dogs, vehicles (with permit), bonfires, surf fishing and most other things banned by other resort areas. We never felt crowded on the beaches and never stuck in traffic jams on the roads. If you're looking for jet skis, amusement parks, high energy nightlife or crowded beaches, this is not for you. If you want a family friendly beach experience, kayaking, fishing, biking or just relaxing with nature, this is the place. The RV site is very nice, quiet and from May thru October is absent of light pollution at night (the entire neighborhood) to keep nesting sea turtles from being distracted/disturbed. This was a new experience for us, being on a single pad and it was very enjoyable. The site is a short drive to Port St Joe, Apalachicola and Mexico Beach for great restaurants and vibrant downtown shopping areas. We highly recommend...
Read moreWe went down in our 26ft. Grand Design travel trailer and stayed at Coastal Soul for 2 weeks in May. We pulled in and backed out with no problems at all. It was such an incredibly nice spot! It was clean, very large, the neighborhood folks are super nice and you can actually see the water from the site, we will called it a peekaboo view. the sunsets here are just stunning. The WIFI was faster than my home WIFI so I was able to work the second week with no problem. Very, very short walk to the water and a safe location. Our dog, Juno absolutely loved it! This was the most dog-friendly area we have ever visited! I caught tons of fish in the surf. Port St. Joe is a short drive for dinner and the grocery store. Two miles away is the General Store which has the basics. I highly recommend Joe Mama's Pizza which is dog friendly too. We ate there several times. We loved the area so much, we stayed...
Read moreWe weren't looking to be impressed but we were. We had a great week at this little gem of site. It's tucked away in Port of St Joe, just a few steps from the beach (I do mean a few steps). We took our coffee to the beach early each morning before breakfast and took a stroll on the beach with our dogs every evening (yep, the beach is dog friendly). The beach was never crowded and always beautiful. The RV site has lounge chairs on a deck for sunbathing, a picnic table, colorful chairs around a fire pit and mature palms giving it a tropical vibe. Short drive to downtown Port St Joe where we enjoyed live music by Chris Godber at the Sister's Bistro. This was just one of the dining spots we tried, all good. This was the most relaxing vaca I've had in years. We will...
