I have been going here since I was a kid so my review may be slightly partial :)

If you want to camp, remember it is only seasonally open. If it is closed you can still walk in, around, and down the river!

The main campground is flat, shaded, and great all around for families and a variety of vehicle sizes. Across the street from the main campground is an alternative with more elevation changes but may require 4 wheel or All wheel drive.

Recently I went back to experience the rock water slides which is about a 15 minute walk down stream from both campgrounds. Go in early October when the water is lower so that you can slide down the river rock without getting pushed too far. Just beyond those slides is a waterfall and swimming pools(if you can trek the hike down/around).

If you like rare plants, see if you can find a Snow Plant in May.

Have fun and remember your experience...

I have been camping here for many many years and it is one of my favorite small campgrounds. It is a fee pay area and the fee is $17.00 per night. It is pretty well maintained and there is running water taps and 4 stall out houses for sanitary conditions. Some people do abuse the camp by leaving trash or cigarette butts in the spots. I always leave my camp better than I found it. There are bear warnings posted because the bears have been hitting the dumpster. I had no problems the weekend I stayed there but did clean up the mess that was there prior...

This place is just perfect! Tent camping small RV when i arrive. You will need a fire Permit. You are allow to collect wood! Structure restrooms onsite. Running water available but its freezing water! No Bear Cages so keep it clean and trow away any unwated food before going to sleep and hide coolers since the local bears recognize what a cooler looks like! 17per night maximum of 14 nights! A 20 minute hike to the waterfalls heading down hill and a 45 minute hike to the upper waterfalls steep hiking! Keep it clean its...

CLOSED as of 24JUL20. “Dispersed Area 5” isn’t blockaded and had a group who seemed to be having a great time. Trail/hike to falls is very short. Some spots a bit steep, sandy... but pretty easy to get to. Cool area. Pools & falls are pretty & fun.
