The hotel was very cute and eccentric. checking in and out was very simple. The website said breakfast was available but upon arrival we found out they had to shut the kitchen down due to not enough customers (There was some bread for toast and instant oatmeal along with prepackaged pastries you have to purchase) which was unfortunate they should probably update that. there was a very cute little gift/coffee shop and dining area with some reading material about the historic site. Read moreI was sent out to North Dakota for work in the middle of winter. Staying at The Hygge Hotel was the only thing that made it enjoyable. The staff is amazing and polite, always greeting you with a smile. It was nice to be able to wake up to an amazing cup of coffee, a delicious breakfast, and a short commute to work. The wi-fi was very fast making working from the room a breeze, 50Mbps up/down 5ms ping. A grocery store is located conveniently next door to The Hygge Hotel, and a bank across the street. This place is a peaceful gem on the prairie and is a must stay for anyone on business, vacation, families, and quick stops.

The owner was incredibly informed about the history and life of the building and took the time to give me a run down that was very insightful and colorful. She gave me a tour of the rooms and I felt so privileged to be able to see all the wonderful decor and unique aspects of each one. I was given the best popcorn ball I have ever had. The room was clean and airy and so comfy. It was clearly the owner's passion and that is completely reflected in the remodeling coupled with the history she passes on. I absolutely loved it here. This was one of my favorite...
