This State Park Campground is really nicely maintained. Although it would be nice for some electric hookups and a dumpstation. Beside those two things, there isn't a complaint. The facilities are outhouse style and really clean. There is an on-site shower facility that has nice hot showers. The part that I enjoyed the most is the hospitality center at the head of the park. The Camp Host has done a really nice job at making the place homey and inviting. There's a wash station there and a community microwave as well as a camper free swap and help center. Need coffee? Need a place to charge your phone? Really friendly people. Quiet out of the way location (aside from, yes, you can hear the roadway traffic, it's not in the mainstream and bustle). The State Park is right next door and is filled with easy trails for all seasons...and the Playset! Wow...your kids will have a blast. Lost of great picnic spots too. Take a trip and get some fresh air...stay a couple days...unplug. Happy Camping and Trails!...2nd year here and again, I can't say enough. Everything is so clean and everyone that works here is so nice...
Read moreThe staff at Bradbury were incredibly helpful and pleasant. We asked about switching campsites after we arrived and they were happy to accommodate our request. Sites are well kept (though some are quite small and a bit close to neighbors). The showers and kitchen wash station were kept incredibly clean. While nobody loves using an outhouse over modern plumbing, these were also well maintained. We were tent camping so didn't mind the lack of water/electricity at our site. We were surprised how quiet our end of the campground was each night by 9pm.
The firewood available on-site was nice and dry - the cost was reasonable at $5 per bundle (we regretted buying roadside firewood before getting to the park that was definitely not dry). If you need any supplies there is a gas station about a mile away with a good variety of items (ice, beer, wine, etc). This campground is no KOA, but if you like a small campground with basic amenities, this is a...
Read moreThis campground was just what I was looking for- peaceful and simple. There were a good amount of sites available to choose from. Rangers were always close by checking on things. For a solo female far from home, I felt safe. Showers were hot and clean, there was a little kitchen area with things you could borrow (frying pans, cups, etc.) bathroom was a 20-second walk. Site had a sturdy picnic table, water spigot and fire pit. $5 bundles of wood were available for purchase, you just had to ask a ranger. The actual state park was right across the street, and cell service was fine. You can hear the traffic from the road but it’s just white noise, I slept great. Also could hear cows mooing in the distance at 2am but it wasn’t bothersome, just funny....
