We stayed one night while on a motorcycle road trip. Chose this property as it has its own restaurant next door so we wouldn't have to get back on the bikes as it is located a bit outside of the main town area. The room was clean and large (two queens). A bit on the older side but well maintained. Plenty of parking. ||||Unfortunately the restaurant had a one hour wait for dinner (large to go order, understaffed was the unclear explanation). The front desk recommended a place in town which required a 3 minute tops taxi ride. She called the taxi which was a private car. 3 minutes later dropped us in front of the small restaurant and the driver said: "$20". Total rip. I'm still convinced the hotel staff was aware of the scam. We walked the 25 minutes back. ||||We discovered there's a Subway a few minutes walk away across the main highway and a supermarket even closer. ||||We ate in the hotel restaurant at breakfast and it was very good with large portions. ||||Would stay again but would...
Read moreI stopped in here somewhat late in the evening last year after driving down from Santa Fe, NM on my way to Big Bend. Great for a stop along the way for those traveling to Big Bend from the west. The room was not expensive - it was sufficient, pretty clean, and quite large. It was easy to store my mountain bike in the hotel room for security. Bed was a bit soft in the springs, and fixtures/lighting in the bathroom were a little weird, but this isn't the Plaza, so it all worked fine. I had arrived not long before the restaurant closed, so the food was not as good as others experienced - one dish came out cold - like refrigerated cold, not just room temperature "cold". They had started to clean up before I arrived, so it was obvious that I was there at the wrong time! So avoid the restaurant within the 30 minutes before they close. Staff were extremely pleasant and nice at the hotel and restaurant. Good place to stop for those on an adventure...

(In the past, we had always pushed on to the Lajitas Resort a couple of hours to the east.) But this time we did stop in Presidio for the night, and we stayed at the Three Palms Inn. I'm so glad we did did. Note: We paid a little more and stayed in the detached single story duplexes toward the rear of the property. Our room was very nice, updated, with very nice amenities and very quiet. I would not hesitate to...
