Please take note before you stay in this place. ||Positives: The pool is nice (no bar) and so are the surroundings. You have free parking, the AC was cold and the beach is a about a three minute walk. Okay that’s about it!||Negatives: Omg where do I start...please bring your own linens and pillows, I seriously do no think they wash the sheets and if they do they are so beyond stained they might as well be replaced! We saw stains on both towels and sheets, hairs all over the bed (under what looked like a Taino bed throw). The bed bunks were rusted and squeaky and sure enough when we inspected the pillow cases and sheets they were dirty. I won’t even spend time talking about the kitchen! Omg it was so creepy, and rusted-just gross! Now the bathroom; hot water ran for 3 minutes after that it was ice cold. What made it worst was the fact that most of our towels were dirty and we literally froze while air drying. The living room; consisted of a futon, and no tv (which we knew) old dull Indian art and a cheap small dining table. It was just so sad, the whole room was sad and it seriously looked like the owners are simply just milking the place for every cent they can get without putting any money in. The word is RUNDOWN! It’s literally a rundown version of a motel. In the morning of our second day we see a woman walking around and I asked her if she worked there and after confirming I asked her for towels and she says, and I quote, “To get fresh clean towels you have to stay for a week or more!!!!” I was like heck no, we refused to take showers and freeze to death because our original towels were dirty! We asked for the owner (who we never saw) and She then complained about her having to clean every single room by herself and the owners would leave the entire property for her to clean and she had too much work to do etc. etc. and that the owners do not show up during the weekend. I gave her the “I don’t care look!” And she said let me get you some towels and she comes in with these striped towels (they looked like pool towels) which looked like they had been part of the hotel for the last ten years and of course two were stained. ||Overall I ask myself how is this place a resort? Lol! No drinks, no beach chairs, umbrella, sad room....dirty linens.... I’m just glad it’s over! If you are okay with everything I’ve exposed here then this is the...
Read moreDear Yukayeke Beach Resort Management,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience with Yukayeke Beach Resort during my reserved stay from July 24th to July 26th.
Upon my arrival for check-in, I found the office to be closed. After making several attempts to contact the administration, it took approximately two hours for someone to arrive and address the situation. To my dismay, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled due to a corporate booking, which left me and another family in a difficult position.
While I appreciate the alternative options provided by your staff for other hotels, I encountered further difficulties when attempting to reach out to them, as they reportedly had not been contacted by Yukayeke Beach Resort. This tainted the experience I had hoped for, marking a significant departure from what I expected based on your resort's reputation.
Additionally, I regret to mention that my attempts to seek assistance were met with frustration, resulting in an unsatisfactory interaction with your staff.
I believe feedback is essential for growth, and I hope that my experience can serve as an opportunity for improvement. It is my sincere desire that no other guests endure a similar experience in the future.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and hope to see positive changes reflected in your guest...
Read moreThis place was perfect for us, a family of 4. We stayed for about three weeks while my husband worked in Añasco. It is not a luxury resort, but a building with approximately 10 appartments. It does not have a reception, but the owner lives across the street and a caretaker is around every day.|The appartment is not very big, but big enough for us. The kitchen is basic, but it functions and the fridge is huge (for Dutch standards :-). ||In the weekends there were some more people, but it was quiet during the week, we often had the big and beautiful swimmingpool to ourselves. The beach is in the backyard; as the resort is nearly at the end of a dead-end street, the area and beach are very quiet, we often had the beach to ourselves too. Added bonus for us are the friendly cats that live around the place. And for me personally it was a very good bonus that the area is rich in birds. I have spotted several of the endemic Puerto Rican birdspecies during short walks from Yukayeke. Last but not least: we went swimming in the sea after dark and there was amazing bioluminescence. You don't have to go to La Parguera to see it, the effect here was even better!||There are three restaurants in walking distance that are open in weekends. A bit further away, but still close, are twoo shops in the village La Playa. A 15 minute drive brings you to a shopping centre with...
