Was were made to feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived at the campground. My eight year old daughter was very exited to finally go camping for the very first time. We walked in the office and my daughter picked up a " talking toy " at the front desk. She picked it up out of curiousity like most kids do and pressed the button to hear it talk. The woman snapped at her with a very nasty attitude and told her not to press the button repeatedly. " this woman and her husband manage this campground together " she never had a welcoming demeaner. When you book for six days, you get the seventh day free. She did not want to give us the seventh day until I reminded her it was promised to us and she just said " fine " and adjusted the receipt. As we were entering the site, her husband snapped at me for following behind " too close to my own family members car as I didn't want to get lost. The manager actually chased after my car " screaming and hollering for me to stop " and rudely screamed at me to leave more room. I felt the most in welcome I had ever felt at any campsite. We were promised a long table and we did not have one at all when we arrived. Management is extremely strict and rude, they circle around at least 8 times a day looking for things to nit-pick about. My daughter tried to pet the managers dog and he told her in a nasty tone "don't, touch her!"...she doesn't like kids ". The dog then ran up to her and licked her LOL. They attend every event to make sure you are following every rule as far as noise management etc.and you must walk on egg shells at all times. You have no privacy or Freedom. They love the " power " role and like using there power to be nasty to others. I know rules need to be followed and should not be broken; but this couple are just flat out rude. Tried wishing management a " Good Morning " and told him how my husband had to leave early due to his foot getting infected and he just replied " hmmm, it happens and walked away. " very cold demeaner with both him and his wife, uncaring and heartless. Unpleasant people. Otherwise the campground is beautiful and plenty to do. Just wish they had different management. The people residing...
Read moreWhat a great trip and great customer service/experience. Upon getting there check-in was easy. She let me know about all the amenities, went over the map and showed me the very basic store (no big deal because if we didn’t bring it then we probably don’t need it). We stayed in spots 18 & 19 that backed up to the pond with ducks. All spots looked giant and level. The overall park is in good shape and well maintained. Bathrooms were clean (didn’t shower in the as we had full hookups but my friend said they were nice, a little dark and had a heater for each shower). We played horseshoes, the kids played miniature golf, didn’t get to see “the ring of fire” but looked fun for sitting around and used the spa (and with a little liquid courage jumped in the unheated pool for about 30 seconds). These were all of the wonderful/fun things we did. ||Now to fully disclose the not so perfect things. ACORNS! Huge cascading California Oaks covered our spot for great shade but - INCOMING! - acorns dropped like I’ve never seen! All night the trailer would get pelted. Not all spots have the giant trees so this review is for our sites by the pond. Next up ducks. These little guys were great to watch and listen to all day until about 4:00 when they leave to roost. Beware because they come back! Early! About 6:00-6:30 they show up and let everyone know it. Road noise was sort of a problem. On the other side of the pond is the winding road to the park and runs all along the park. Motorcycles and other loud cars during the day. It quiets down at night but there are still some noises from the road for those light sleepers.||Heard the coyotes at night in the distance. Didn’t see any but could hear them. No biggie, just keep the dogs on a leash and hang by the propane camp fire. At check-in she told me about turkeys but we didn’t see them.||All in all a great little trip! We’ll definitely be back. Horseback riding is nearby so we want to try that and some wineries that look like it could make for a...
