Deerlodge Park Campground — Hotel in Rangely

This is a beautiful primitive campground along the Yampa river, just before it enters the canyons of Dinosaur National Monument. There are about 10 sites here, with clean restrooms and water. Fee is only $10/night. We spent the better part of two days here, swimming in the river and exploring the area. If it wasn't for the five star hosts, this campground would get 1 star. As I was saying, the hosts were phenomenal, kind, and very involved. Now for the cons. We didn't heed the warning from the host about the mosquito population. The bugs here are relentless and were barely kept at bay by copious application of bug spray. That was the biggest con.
