I was traveling with my wife and kids, ages 6 and 4. I was searching for a working farm in the US and this one popped up on someone's blog that wrote about traveling with kids. I couldn't be more pleased with landed on this B&B. We chose the "apartment" and paid a little extra so that, not only could our kids have their own room, but also so we could cook dinners each night. It was perfect. ||||If you are traveling with kids, this place is almost like an amusement park for the kids. Every morning after breakfast, the owner busts out all of his toys. It usually started with his 4 wheeler pulling these barrels like a train. Each barrel had a fake steering wheel. He'd take you for a short ride and then stop at the petting zoo to give the kids rides on the miniature horse, Cupcake. After that ride, he would bring out the tractor. Depending on how many guests are there that morning, he has 2 different attachments that he will give you rides on. One is your typical hay ride and the other is a smaller box that has 2 benches in it. He will give you a tour of the farm and the operation there. You might see some newborn calves. We were lucky to see some. After that ride, he might give you a ride on the 4 wheeler behind the guest house and through the woods. After that ride, he might even break out his motorcycle for you. As you can imagine, these rides take up your whole morning. ||||There are plenty of animals to entertain the kids. The baby calves are kept close to the guest house and you are able to feed them their milk bottles each day. The kids loved this! And so did I... You are able to feed the animals down at the petting zoo area and they usually have table scraps and leftovers from breakfast that you can feed to them. My kids also enjoyed collecting eggs from the chicken coop. There were also plenty of friendly cats/kittens around at all times. ||||They have a garage full of bikes, tricycles, scooters, etc... They have a playhouse, swing set and jungle gym. Also down past the petting zoo, they had a really cool area next to the creek that had a tire swing, chairs and a fire pit. We did build a fire one night and made s'mores. ||||I'm sure there are plenty of reviews about the awesome breakfast already, so I won't belabor that point. But I will say that you won't be that hungry for lunch. It's that filling! ||||From an entertainment standpoint, this place was way beyond anything I expected. At the same time, it's so relaxing to be out in farmland. We will definitely stay...

Read moreI'm going to start by saying that if you are considering booking a stay at this amazing B&B, read no further JUST BOOK IT!!! You will not be disappointed. As so many of the reviews state, Rocky Acre Farm B&B is simply wonderful. It's located at the bend of a picturesque road and the views from pretty much anywhere on the farm are gorgeous. The Benner Family, who run the B&B are so very kind and hospitable. We stayed here for 3 nights in the "guest house" during August of 2021. We are a family of 5 (7 yr old and two 4 yr olds) and the guest house was just perfect for us. It's a little bit of a walk from the main house, but the extra space and full kitchen makes it totally worth it, especially for a larger family. Our kids just loved everything about this place! They had a ball with Mr. Benner, who they say was one of their favorite parts of our vacation. He's so wonderful with the children. As others have mentioned, there really is just so much for the kids to do at the farm...it truly is a place where a kid can run and play and be free (while being respectful of the property and of other guests, of course). Finally, I can't conclude this review without mentioning the fabulous breakfast that the Benner Family cooks for all guest each morning. To say it's bountiful is an understatement. Truly, if you are on the fence about whether or not to book this B&B, just do it!! I promise, you will not be disappointed in any way. Thank you to the Benner Family for making our stay so...
