I stayed at this facility while attending a nearby business meeting. The property was easy to find (right off the main highway) with ample parking for RV’s, trailers, U-hauls, etc. The check-in process was very friendly and efficient and the lobby and property grounds were well cared for. Although I had requested a top floor during the reservation process, my room was located on the 1st floor. It had been a long drive, so I just went for it, expecting to hear a lot of lobby noise, people above me, etc. however, I really did not hear any noises outside my room at all which was very nice. The lack of cars in the parking lot suggested that the facility was not very full, which also may have had something to do with it. ||||The room was very clean and well equipped with all the creature comforts, including a mini fridge and work desk with power stip. The property appears to only be a few years old, is modern in design and has been well cared for. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were stain free. The pool/hot tube was very nice and the fitness center was larger than most with several machines available, (treadmill, stationary bikes, etc.). The business center was “out in the open” and consisted basically of two P.C.’s and a printer. Guest laundry is available for a fee of $2 per wash and $2 per dry and the laundry room was also very clean and well cared for. ||The breakfast was just OK, consisting of the normal fruits, pastries, breads, eggs, sausage etc. that you would expect from this hotel chain. ||||The only drawback is the limited number of restaurants, shopping centers and gas stations close to the hotel. I did notice a few fast food places, a couple of pizza places as well as one gas station, but you are definitely not in a high populated area of town, (i.e. no Walmart, Drug Stores, Denny’s, etc.). Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this property to business travelers...
Read moreToday is Easter Sunday and the lady at the front desk Called the police to escort me and my children out all because we wanted to speak to a Manager, I’ve been staying here a week with my children and today I guess someone pissed in Angela’s cereals she chose to be a B! Our room was messy due to a family night we had they then tried to charge me $100 for some “towels” that were ruined due to my daughter being a young lady and having a menstrual cycle. ANGELA refused to hear anything her and 2 other employees laughed the whole time. Then ANGELA stated I shouldn’t even be here because my mother rented the room but it’s under my name , that we couldn’t do that because they wouldn’t let her do it in Houston for her daughter.( so I’m assuming it’s personal ) I was then told by the housekeeping manager they have to “come in and clean my room everyday after I told her I clean it every night when my kids go to sleep because I don’t trust anyone with my daughters or their things. They said that they “ legallly “have to be the ones to come in and clean. They went through all my things and took pictures of everything my kids birth certificates and socials were even moved. My mother is a diamond elite member she has been booking for years and has never had these problems. I never got disrespectful with anyone all I asked for was to speak to a manager to get clarification and ANGELA decided to call the police and I told her ma’am you don’t have to do that I’m not refusing to Leave all I’m asking for is to speak to a a manager. She wouldn’t even...
Read moreStayed at this extremely, wonderful and incredibly modern hotel two weeks ago. The Beds and pillows were perfect! The room was wide open and spacious and the staff was extremely attentive professional and nice. The gym and pool area was top notch...I could go on but you get the picture. I noticed one fella who seemed to be there at seemingly all hours of the day and night during my stay that weekend. He was there when I checked in, I saw him in the lobby talking to some of the staff as I left to go fishing @ 0530 the next day, and he was there when I got back from fishing at around 1830 that same day! As I was eating breakfast on the morning of my checkout (Sunday), I noticed him again walking around checking this and that and it finally clicked that this must be the owner, As he walked by I asked him and sure enough he was, his name was Nick and he was the most amicable guy you'd ever want to meet! I complimented Nick on his wonderful establishment, and incredibly fair pricing, (did I mention that they price matched a priceline offer when I checked in? Awsome!) I told him this Holiday Inn should be the model for all of them. This is where I will be staying whenever I visit my friends in this town. Totally unexpected gem in this small town! Thanks again Nick for a wonderful experience. See you again soon. Honestly folks, you have to see it to believe it! It will absolutely knock...
