I called when I was on my way to verify our reservation it took 4 different phone calls with a 55 min duration before someone answered to tell us we will talk to you when you get here click.. (found out later it was the older lady staff member) when I arrived the older lady was helping someone else and the manager was kind and apologized about the phone call because we should hace been told we couldn't check in until 2pm but she would let us cone back at 12pm.
Unfortunately, a lot has negativly changed in the last 8 months since our last stay for 2 months during the fall of our wonderful 2 month stay in 2023 and even prior stays where the guest and staff were happy and kind. We made a few life long friends before but currently this was a horrible 2 nights and $200 wasted and will never go back.
The much older lady staff member favored a cruel family who are permenant residents and they got away with screaming, cussing and threatening my children and my life over an incident with our dogs. She wouldn't let me talk and when I asked to speak to a staff member Larry that I knew from last year and my son had bonded with she shushed me and my son asked her to please not shush my mom. The staff member than told him not to attack her and closed the door. This staff member heard my kids and I get called horrible names, screamed at and be threatened by this cruel family (mom, daughter and husband) and allowed it and covered it up by flipping the script and even took it one step further to not only calling security who we already spoke to and addressed the issue but while I was calmy writing my statement of the dog incident across the road because she made it clear she didnt want to hear me talk. When she got done talking to the cruel family she literally drove up to the casino and got the casino manager with 2 security guards to come and tell us if we speak to any of the staff or guest here we will be asked to leave. Confused, I asked how is this happening. I was not the one screaming and threatening, my kids and I are the victims of this untrue claim. I asked them to check the cameras for proof because what this staff member is saying is not true, she's flipping the script to protect the other family. I was laughed at and disregarded and so we left. Disgusted by all this and knowing mine and my kids worth, we left this awful environment. I can't believe the incident of this family being able to scream, cuss and threaten mine and my children's lives was just laughed at. The worst part is it has given my toddler nightmares. I tried to call Joel Brady the boss of the casino management to set the record straight but no luck. No one seems to care about the truth. To add this same family allows thier little children running around the enterance of the koa unattended in the streets the same older staff lady gives them free candy, It's so unsafe and the free candy is just favoritism, which this staff member should receive a trophy in.
The other downhill that has changed is people getting drunk at the family pool and the dirty, soaked bathrooms that always stink of poo or cigarettes. They use to be clean. $200 spent to have this horrible experience and where our lives were threatened is ridiculous. This place that my kids and I loved and stayed at for 2 months last year and years before with the best staff has gone downhill and now after only spending 2 nights I've witnessed it to become more like a trailer trash park with nice views and a...
Read moreThis was our first time staying in a KOA campground and only our second stop with our 42' 5th wheel. Initially, it was a KOA Journey, something I didn't fully grasp back then – that it might not be the ideal place for an extended stay unless you were focused on local activities and simply using it for rest.
We stayed at this location from March 25th, 2022, through April 21st, 2022, for a longer duration due to our preparations for nationwide travel in our 5th wheel. However, I wouldn't advise anyone to opt for such an extended period here.
Upon our arrival, we completed the check-in process. The staff was decent, except for the manager whose behavior was rather peculiar. Unfortunately, he displayed an unprofessional attitude, finding amusement in the misfortunes of others on more than one occasion. For instance, he took pleasure in recounting instances where people struggled to park their trailers and damaged them. It was an odd and unsettling experience.
I began to wonder whether the manager intentionally assigned us a challenging spot with a sharp turn, given that my husband had informed him it was our first time maneuvering our rig. Despite the difficulties posed by the layout of the trees, we managed to park. However, due to limited space, our slides couldn't fully extend on one side. Seeking a solution, we approached the office, only to find the entire staff observing us with what seemed like amusement. The manager's demeanor was particularly galling – a smug expression on his face. It was disappointing to encounter such behavior; I have little patience for those lacking basic kindness and empathy.
Thankfully, my husband's experience in parking trailers came in handy, and he navigated the situation effectively. Although this was our inaugural experience moving our new 5th wheel, it was far from his first time parking a trailer.
The site itself was a pull-through, accommodating up to 55 feet – though this posed challenges for larger trailers with slides on both sides. Full hookups, 50 Amp power, WiFi/cable services, propane availability, and a laundry facility were provided. However, the laundry closed when the office did. The campground did accept delivered packages and was dog-friendly, though a dedicated enclosed dog park was absent. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness was lacking, and dog waste was a concern. Throughout my stay, I observed maintenance being performed just once, and that was when a KOA representative was also lodged there. I recognize this might sound harsh, but this is an accurate reflection of my experience.
Additionally, if tranquility is what you seek, this is not the spot for you. The constant sound of passing trains persisted day and night.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend this park to anyone. Instead, I suggest considering GSR if you're in the area and desire proximity to a casino.

Read moreThis was my experience and the email that I sent them - they didn't even bother to respond. I would not stay here again and I would not recommend anyone else - unless you like paying for full hookups and only able to use the air conditioner from 9pm to noon.
I checked in last Tuesday 6/4 then departed 6/11. I was originally slotted for site 135, I went to park / setup and began organizing everything at the site. As the afternoon went on I found the AC was getting less and less powerful and began actually blowing warm air. (As I had never experienced a camp with low voltage I thought this was a localized issue to my 135 site). After a few hours of checking circuits, letting things cool off - at around 9pm I found that site 132 was free for the night and I moved. I left a voicemail that night and went in the next morning to let everyone know I moved and why - no one mentioned anything out of the ordinary (again first time experiencing low voltage - so I didn't know that's what it was). At about 2pm on Wednesday the AC began to struggle again and when I looked at the volt meter it was in the red at 106 volts. I again went to the front desk and asked if that was normal, they seemed surprised and said it was unusual and would send out the tech the next day. He did come the next morning and immediately we agreed it was excessive load on the park and in fact - common. So day 1 and day 2 I dealt with low voltage hitting the AC, then on Moday 6/10 I knew it was going to be hot so I purposely spent the day at Lake Tahoe to not sit in a trailer with no AC running for 7 hours. Even though I stayed gone until 6pm even then the volts were reading 104 and I didn't want to risk destroying the AC with low voltage - so I just hung out in the Cabella parking lot for an hour and a half waiting for it to cool down.
I've been full timing on mostly at KOAs since January and spent the two months prior in Vegas where it would occasionally be over 100 degrees and never had an issue with AC or volts, at any of the KOAs I've been to. I didn't want to complain too much to the front desk as the first time I mentioned it I was told it wasn't actually a camp issue, the tech and I disagree.
Feel free to propose a solution as 3 of the 7 nights there the term "full hookups" wasn't...
