Where to start idahodunesrv is the best place to stay when you come to play in the sand box. It’s the only place I will go don’t believe all the negative garbage. Lest start with the staff wow they are all top notch they treat you better then your owen family at a holiday dinner!! a+++ Next the amenities wow!! for a off road campground it’s like one of those fancy cribs shows the only thing they are missing, is the guy handing you a towel and a spray of your favorite fragrance. Running hot and cold water and tile floors can’t find that at the government housing. A++++ The store on sight is fully stocked with some of the stuff you blame your significant other for forgetting to pack (you know who you are) for your stay and they also have some killer tee shirts and hoodies and hats and party starter kits way better selection the the goodwill at home. A++++ They have kids Play area for the yong trouble makers when they are waiting to go back into the sand with there sand toys. A+++ The camp ground it self is clean and well maintained it’s great to see what the owner has done every year. to improve the property he has added a lot of gravel in the camping areas, and dry camp. When we stayed ther this season the canel that runs through the camp is all cleaned up and trees cut so you can sit in it in between rips in the sand. All of the hook up spots looked to have all new power polls this year I like to rough it so water and sewer hook up is a must. My 1973 Winnebago was happy all week there the fridge ran super it kept all the beer ice cold and I left the AC on the whole time cause you know I like to party as well & the power is free with every hook up sight and I like to get my moneys worth and it never even got the plug hot like the other camp grounds. A++++ Oh speaking of party they have security on sight at night, so I got to meet them as well really nice guys they will ask you to keep it down so the other gusts can party in quite. Which looking back at it is great sorry guys if I was a Dic* all Of us had great time and let the rest of the quite party group have a good night sleep as well. 🍾 A++++ And they put up a massive log arch on the way in it’s cool!! All in all it’s the place to be it’s way better then all the rest and I’ve stayed at all the others and will always find my way here as long as the old 73 is up and running and the open sign is on I’ll...
Read moreI was very impressed with how organized Mike's Idaho Dunes RV Park is run. As a fellow business owner myself, I could tell how much thought was put into the reservation system alone.
The park was very clean and the staff and fellow guests were respectful during our stay. They recently started implementing wireless internet / WiFi as well. It was still being implemented, so it was still a bit spotty, but much better than nothing at all as cell phone service was spotty too.
The only suggestion I would have is upgrading the full water/power/sewer sites to have 50 amp service. I had an initial discussion, as we were driving there, with the office regarding our Class A having a 50 amp service and my concerns with running the air conditioners.
We were told to go into town to Walmart to buy an adapter from 30 Amp to 50 Amp. Needless to say the power kept cutting out when both AC units were running, even though our power meter showed both ACs only drew 22 amps combined. Both ACs drew the same 22 amps on the generator. Not sure why this kept on happening on the 30 amp service, perhaps it was less than 30 amps?
We were switched to the 50 Amp service only, no water, no sewer and the rest of our stay was enjoyable. I just wish we were told this in advance, so we didn't have to pack up and move. Definitely another life lesson learned on our end.
Overall, I would highly recommend this park to anyone visiting. It may not be the cheapest option, versus the BLM land down the road as stated in other reviews, but there's definitely added value with the on site bathrooms, showers, friendly and accommodating staff and free...
Read moreI have been coming to Idaho Dunes for years. Idaho Dunes RV is by far the best campground in the area. From the cleanliness of the bathrooms and wide, long camping spots we have never been disappointed. I however really think what sets a campground above the rest is the people. Idaho Dunes is a campground that makes me feel safe and secure and the customer service that you will receive from Mike the owner and his son Garrett as well as all their staff is second to none. Everyone is super friendly and willing to assist to make your adventure here the best and most comfortable. You will absolutely feel like family. They also have a pretty solid set of rules with security. Nothing stupid but it definitely keeps out the thieves and over partiers which I’m fine with. This also helps bring in a better group of campers. Everyone is willing to help and super friendly. To top it off the store is never short on ice and the even sell firewood at a really good price.
If you’re wanting to experience the beautiful dunes of St. Anthony at the best campground there is, you can’t go wrong choosing...
