Let me start by saying we stayed Saturday-Wednesday over Labor Day weekend. Park was crazy with golf carts constantly. Park is all gravel so you can imagine the dust being stirred up. Not sure what the park rules are but we saw a lot of kids driving golf carts, kids under 12. Saw one boy who appeared to be about 9 riding around with a smaller child about 6 years old. Didn't notice any employees cruising around enforcing any rules. Had two teens playing volleyball behind us in the roadway. After they hit our RV twice we had to ask them to play somewhere else. We had a nice pull thru shady spot which is about the only positive we had. We had a roomy site because we had no picnic table. We told the office two times. First time was in person at the office, she said she would see about getting us one. Waited 4 hours and I called and spoke to a man who told me there were none available because the park was full. I told him we walked around and there were two empty sites that had tables. All he could reply was that the park was full and he could give us a refund and he would email when it was done. Guess what, no email and no other contact from the office. We were traveling with another RVer and they didn't have a table too. After most people left on Monday I could see why they don't care about short term campers. Appeared that over 75% of the spots were permanent or yearly. Don't think some of them could move if they had to. I do not recommend this place. Try the Rising Star Casino campground just a mile down the road. It looked very nice. I added photos of the two open sites with tables and ours that doesn't have one.

This was my first time camping up top (have camped on the bottom a few times - love both) and second time for a Halloween weekend. It was a great time and organized fairly well, except for the schedule being different on two different papers. The schedule of events was incorrect on the paper we had so we waited for awhile for the costume contest to begin due to timing being incorrect on the schedule we had. I love that it's a privately owned campground and the pool stays open weather permitting. They also have a lot of fun things to do for kids! The Halloween costume contest and site contests are always fun!

Highly recommended!! We started staying here this summer, heard the good and “bad” with the changing of owners. I will personally say we have experienced no BAD !!! We have had so much fun staying at this campsite . Courtney helped us after hours & we can’t thank her and the campsite enough !!!! The staff are amazing for participating in the water wars with the campers, our family absolutely loved it & will be something we never forget.

While I am not sure what the campground was like under the previous name and management, I will say that as of June 14th and under the Beyonder Gateway Management, this was a nice place to camp! When booking this location for my Brother, Sister and myself, I was surprised to find out that there is also a secondary location, just down the private road and although we stayed at the main location, I did venture down road to the secondary location, to see what was offered and to get my steps; info for my next visit. The secondary location seems to offer boondocking sites, limited overnight electric sites(most, if not all of these sites seem to be seasonal or long-term), a shelter and I think some cabins..... The secondary site also offers views of the Ohio River, but very little shade in the afternoon and evening hours, so be sure to pack a canopy. However, back at the main site, it has plenty of shade, a restaurant, a pavilion, an outdoors stage, a swimming pool, a basketball court, a dog park, a Snack Shack and a catch and release fishing pond, with benches; go figure!!! As I walked thru the park, each site seems to be decently gravel paved, with a table and vehicle rim fire pit; most inside and outside sites are back-in, however, there are a number of pull-through sites, for the larger vehicles. I have a 40' Class A, that I had absolutely no problems getting in or out of the campground and though the trees are mature, I had no problems with my awnings nor the trees grabbing(scratching) my rig either. Given that this was Father's Day weekend and there were plenty of kids and family's in the campground, I will say that none of them seem to be unruly, as there were plenty of activities planned for Friday and Saturday, including a DJ, several "packed" wagon rides(NICE!!!!), a cornhole tourney, a live band Saturday night and a few other things that I missed; I fell asleep in my chair, enjoying the breeze and being away from the hustle and bustle of home. zzzzzz. After saying all that and despite the negative reviews with the previous Management, I would certainly recommend this campground to those looking for a nice getaway, be it a weekend or longer!

Last but not least, is the staff; It can be a nice to decent campground, but with a bad staff and attitudes, it will make for a bad stay and review. While I only encountered 5 staffers, from the time I arrived, I would have to say each of them represented themselves and Beyonder Gateway very well and made me feel welcomed and not just a customer. The ladies at check-in explained everything clearly and made sure that I understood, how to get my late arriving Brother and Sister checked-in, after the office closed. The lady in the restaurant/game room area was also extremely helpful and very nice, for being willing to make me a pizza, after she was already closed. Again, without this level of Customer Service, this would have just been an OK stay, but with all that factored in, "I'll be...

I was so excited to visit this campground only to be really disappointed when we arrived. We stayed for 7 days and while it wasn't awful, the campground in general is severely struggling. A conversation with the store cashier said that two sisters inherited the campground from their parents. The website makes the place seem a lot better than it really it. The electric hook up station we had for out plot was not properly grounded and one of the main RV plugs didn't work. The pool appears to be the main attraction but had horrible chemical test results posted on the run down and closed pool building (formerly The Snack Shack). Despite the chlorine levels being too high and the pool ripping open in some spots, we still swam in it and the kids had fun. The map of the campground shows a beach front on the pond which there is not. We did rent a golf cart but the first one assigned to us was broken and the gentleman couldn't fix it. The second one assigned worked but later in the day we were told we were lucky because it was the last working golf cart. There had to be at least 10 other golf carts scattered around the rental area but they were all broken down. The mini golf area looks very unusable and had tons of wasps flying around it. The play ground was also disappointing. The actual campground spaces were really small with not much room in between the next space. We were lucky not to have the plot next to out camper filled until late in the week. The campground seems to thrive only on the weekends but it was irritating to hear people riding around in ATVs and golf carts at 10:30pm blasting music. Activities only take place on Saturday. The pictures posted on the website are from 2006-2011. When I was looking around the recreation room on the backside of the store there was 5 beautiful 4" binder albums from 2006-2011 bursting with pictures and then a half filled 2016 album. While it was cool to look back at the history of the campground, things have really changed for the worse. Little Farm has so much potential but I wouldn't reccomend...

We had a great stay in the efficiency cabins at Little Farm on the River. I was hesitant based on the reviews but knew this establishment was under new ownership this summer and decided to give it a try. I am very glad we gave this place a try.

Upon arrival, the cabins were clean. 2 out of the 3 efficiency cabins were beside the pond and one large cabin located next to it. Our visit was during the week but it was very quiet and the people whom were talked to were very pleasant.

Amenities: *Clean, Olympic-sized Pool *Camp Store *Club House *Pond for fishing (and releasing) *Miniature Golf *Basketball Court

Efficiency Cabins Included: *Running Water *Toilet & Shower in the Bathroom *Futon Bed *Set of Bunk Beds *Microwave *Refrigerator *Toaster *Dishes *Small Television *Towels for the Bathroom & Wash Towels *Bed Linens *Small, outdoor charcoal grill *Picnic Tables *Small fire ring made of rock at each site.

Recommendations of What to Bring: *Pillow (pillows are supplied but own pillow for comfort) *Hand Soap *Outdoor Table Cloth *Shower Supplies (soaps) *Bug Spray & Fly Swatter

Advantages: *Clean, Outdoor Swimming Pool (Unlike previous reviews, the pool was very clean except for a corner of one step. *Grounds keepers pick up garage left beside the roadways. *Friendly staff *No parking permits *Small playgrounds

Disadvantages: *Limited hours for camp store (weekdays) *Club House closed when store closes due to vandalism at the camp *Bunk Bed mattresses are very thin.

Bottom Line: I would recommend Little Farm on the River to anyone who is looking to spend a few days camping. RV Rentals and personal RVs/Campers are welcome at the campground.

The owners of the campground are working to fix it up. They still have some work to do but are making progress based on other reviews...
