This place is pretty nice, the grounds are well taken care of, and it is one of the nicer RV Parks in the area. The creek is beautiful, and in certain areas the sunset it gorgeous. It is centrally located to town, and easy to access Central and Downtown Waco (via LaSalle, as the interstate is under construction for the next 3 years), which offers a feeling of being out in the country, while also being within the city limits and easy to commute. The sunset views are great towards the Greig side of the park. The big field in front has a LOT of flying insects, which is annoying so bring bug spray, BUT it does attract lots of birds, and they are pleasant to watch. I would have left more stars however, specific factors lowered my rating. One is the Internet. While they do offer wi-fi, it is through Nomad and is spotty. I could not connect my printer due to the network setup, and needed to be able to print things for work and school which were very important. Unfortunately, there was not a way to troubleshoot the issue with management. Tonight, the wi-fi is not connecting at all. Thankfully my neighbor let me borrow theirs. Second, there is one poop station for dogs located towards the front, near the bathhouse. The expectation is for you to pick up your dog waste immediately. Bring bags with you because if you don't you may be warned on your way to get a bag, which could be far away from where your dog poops. I also suggest getting a small receptacle to keep outside your camper, so you don't have to walk often to the station. Third, the washer and dryer are $2 each, and the basin is small. This adds up quickly if you have to do multiple loads. You might be better off going to laundry mat in Robinson, however it is very inconvenient, especially if there are multiple people using only one car. Fourth, the shower room is not air conditioned, and ventilation is not that great. I had hoped to use this room to get ready for evening with friends. However, I found myself sweating a lot, and had to go back to my camper quickly. While I love camping, I expect to encounter this more at a state park rather than somewhere that is for temporary housing. At a state park, one of the perks is being able to leave the door open to the shower area, so the humidity doesn't accumulate as fast, without forfeiting your privacy. The way this showers are set up, that is not possible. Fourth, the bridges are closed. On the reviews, others boasted about being able to walk around the creek, and another pond or tank, with pictures! Unfortunately both bridges are closed off. I suspect this is because the sheep that were also noted as being across the creek, are no longer there, or were moved and/or replaced with cattle. Lastly, I grew up around cattle ranching, my family ranched. It is not foreign to me. However, I am not a fan of the cattle industry. Had I known that they were raising cattle across the way, and I would have to listen to the distress calls from cows in the evening, I would not have camped here. The park is cute and it is quaint, and it's obvious the owners care a lot about it, which is great. It is a good place to stay, I just think there is room for...
Read moreThis is a nice park, although it is not a resort which the name implies. Having visited Waco several times before, this was our first time here. Many of the pull-through sites are the "reverse-buddy" design, which is to say the utility connections are in the middle, and the living side of the RVs face away. Greig road is narrow-ish and is pretty beat up in my opinion. The interior roads are paved, and the sites are crushed stone over dirt. It can get a bit sloppy if there is enough rain. Our site was level and in good condition, and that appears to be the norm here.
Arrival: You probably won't hear from the park except for your reservation confirmation email. Hang onto that as it contains your site number. Just inside the entrance is a sign with instructions read it & heed it. Do not venture past the last RV sites with your rig as there is no turnaround. I would guess someone has done that, and they likely weren't happy.
Our Verizon signal was good, and the park WiFi at our site was usable but poor. They really need to install one or more extenders.
We'd return here when visiting again. We camped at Flat Creek Farms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Campground owner/manager, you have a definite speeding problem. We were in #62, and folks flew by at 35-40 MPH. Not safe.
Update October 2025: The park continues to be well-maintained and continuous improvements are in evidence. Presently, the bridge over Flat Creek is under construction, and the park IS ACCESSIBLE from Old Robinson road and John Bowden Parkway which runs between I-35 Frontage Road N and Greig Dr. Your mapping software may not yet show it, but it is there. Look for the modern composite Robinson Water Tower as a landmark. Our site had easy Starlink access pointing North-ish. We had a couple of significant thunderstorms during our stay, and our site...
Read moreVERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! My family was looking forward to staying here for 2 nights; but never got to stay. I called ahead to book a site for two nights…tonight and tomorrow night. About 5 minutes after I completed booking, we began having pulling trouble with our travel trailer. I called back and explained to the associate that due to the troubles we were experiencing, we didn’t think we would be able to make it this evening but we would like to keep the reservation for tomorrow night. The associate told us the reservation had already been entered into the computer and the payment completed to our credit card so he couldn’t do anything about it. We asked that he just refund us for tonight and we would still like to stay tomorrow, but he again refused. He got very angry/defensive when my husband spoke with him and again explained the difficulties we suddenly were experiencing. He told my husband he could cancel both nights, but we would still be charged. My husband told him that was not acceptable. The associate stated he would have to call the owner and call us back. He did call back in a few minutes and told us the owner agreed to refund our money for both nights, but we needed “to stay out of the park” and we were “not welcome” there. Seriously?! All that because of legitimate problems we suddenly began having with our travel trailer! Absolutely...
