I don’t know how else to say this besides: if you are considering Harvest Barn Inn at all, just go ahead and book it. Our one-night stay was such a flawless and uplifting experience that I told the innkeepers/owners that I fully expect to not be able to find a vacancy there soon.

Kaelan and Blessing are part of the younger generation of innkeepers bringing the B&B lifestyle to its next iteration. The inn is decorated more modern, but still very thoughtfully. Rooms and common area were very clean and comfortable. Location is absolutely perfect with a stunning river and mountain view, about five minutes drive from an absolutely adorable artists’ town. The owners have clearly made an effort to integrate the inn into the community and build strong bonds.

But the real magic is what makes all great B&B’s great… The warmth and hospitality that the innkeepers bring. They upgraded us to a larger, more expensive room for free upon arrival. Kaelan provided a great recommendation for dinner and tips on getting a reservation. Communication was clear and easy. They provide coffee, tea, and amazing homemade cookies in the common area.

The food. I can’t fully explain how delightful the food was. Not only was the three-course breakfast delicious, it was thoughtful. The kind of thoughtful that showcases homemade and local ingredients. That shows restraint and indulgence at the same time. That makes you feel truly connected to the community you’re in. Blessing’s food feels curious and engaged and considerate, which I realize is a big thing to say about just breakfast.

We shared some apples we picked In Massachusetts on our drive up, and Blessing even incorporated our apples into a cake for dessert! They also accommodated for allergies very thoughtfully.

I’m counting the days until I can return to sit on the porch, watch the world wake up over the river, and enjoy another breakfast again.

This is a very safe place for travelers of all kind, including...

As soon as I drove into the valley following the winding majestic Connecticut River I could feel the stresses of city life melting away. The air here is purer, filtered by the densely forested mountains. You can definitely feel the increased oxygen flowing into your brain. ||The Harvest Barn Inn is perched on a hill above the Connecticut River. When you pull up the winding road you feel a sense of time standing still as you approach the row of 100 year old homes. The property is gracious and well maintained and beautiful flowers surround the front porch.||As you walk up, the porch is lined with comfortable Adirondack style chairs for relaxing with a view of the river and surrounding mountains. The floorboards creak welcomingly with the same sound they heard living in the home over 100 years ago. ||Indoors in the common area there is a coffee and tea bar, a fridge, a sectional sofa, and some tables where you will be served breakfasts that rival any you’ve had before in freshness of local ingredients and just plain taste. ||Each morning you’ll be greeted by the owners with a delicious array ranging from scrambled eggs and Vermont cheddar, bacon, yogurt parfait with fresh local fruit, and even stunning frittatas and baked goods like their baked strawberry French toast or a delicious fruit galette.||We stayed in the 2nd floor corner room called the Connecticut River room which overlooked the river. This was the only room in the b&b with a bathroom down the hall from the room which ended up being totally fine since the bathroom was quite spacious and the water pressure was great for showers. ||The beds were comfortable and soft. There were plenty of pillows too. The linens were soft and felt very cool as I tend to be a warm sleeper. It was an all around great place to stay. ||I spent 2 weeks here and will greatly miss it, but I will definitely be back. There is so much more Vermont in...

Lovely location. Take a turn from main road to Webb Star and magic begins..elevated a bit and an amazing view of Connecticut River and mountains. Handful of houses in the top of the road and this Inn is one of them. Beautiful place for a gateway trip after hectic schedules. Place is very quiet, lush green, river and mountain, everything available. Two awesome hosts and the owner of this Inn. They are very nice couple, jovial, helpful, full of life. While having breakfast, I can see the river and the mountains, sunlights over the mountains, suddenly some trees will be brighter due to direct sunlight and next moment other side of the tree will look same. Big backyard, just sit and relax with your favorite drink or a glass of wine. My room name is 'river view' and has a small porch with a cozy sitting arrangement. Woke up and move the curtain, enjoy the mesmerizing view of river. Never thought my gateway trip and B&B will be so amazing. Love this place.
